Event Testing - Welcome to the Agency

I think what Diablo III seasons did wrong is placing a quality of life improvement (stash tabs) behind the tail end of a set of challenges. It would be like the Tengu SKIN at the end of The Agency. It felt a lot like a rat race. EVE is very different and almost all rewards I can think of are given to the player to do as they wish. Injecting something on login is just very out of the ordinary. I get what you’re trying to achieve, and even if it was a nonconsensual booster I guess that wouldn’t be that big of an issue.

Wow, these are the news of the decade: “CCP spawns new PLEX as event rewards”

Your controlling agrees to that?? :astonished:

In real life you would be punished by it. EVE is real or not?

You serious? Created? That’s new.

apparently there was something like 60,000 PLEX dropped in the Rogue Drone event. I just wasn’t sure if it was strictly confiscated or magic.

I just ate a tasty pork rib. It was my choice.

Bazilions sites were done and only 120 PLEX dropped? 1% of 1%? It’s good I’m not engaged in this kind events, seems mindless grind, at least more mindless that my exploration sites hunting.

In the rogue swarm event I earn ONE plex while getting 30+ boosters .
I heard people getting more than this though, something like 5 plex over the course of the event.

Did the boosters get ya enough isk to make up the other 499 PLEX for a month of omega?

do the math yourself.

The lucky ones were who played directly after downtime on 13th, they made tens or hundreds of billions selling skins only available from the store before to buy orders. The booster sold for ~50M on first day and ~30 on second, going down pretty fast. PLEX is a negligible drop profit-wise.

Sounds like a no.

@Nana_Skalski, please, this isn’t helping the conversation. I understood that you feel that it is being forced on you. I understood that the first time you said so. At this point I feel like you are antagonizing me. Please stop.

Having boosters instantly used on login feels wasted. I don’t always undock the second I log on, can easily spend an hour farting around on the market or fitting ships.

Sorry, I am just emotionally loaded now and feel this is against what EVE stands for. It takes a bit of its soul and throws it to the mud. Or something like that. I would like it removed, but now you will probably only defend it with more force.

Eh, I feel this is going nowhere like with many things CCP is doing recently. I will protest by not logging in, because CCP dont listen to what people say, but what they do. :slightly_smiling_face:

EDIT: (For all those people trying to “silence” me, just read the rest of the thread and you will be glad you read it).

do it in silence please. CCP doesnt care about what you say, neither do we.

stop being the attention bitch you are right now.

Anyhow you just show us that you have no other argument than “I don’t like it, so it must not be”. Which basically, nobody cares about.

Pff, I said enough. If nobody cares, well, I suppose I am not nobody. :slightly_smiling_face:

Only if you continue to make fun of the feature, without providing specific reasons why you don’t like it. When you made your point, I understood where you were coming from, but I also wanted to make sure you understood my view as well. Once that was cleared up, I was ready to make a note of your feedback concerning the login boosters. And then you just made fun of it and me… and again… and again.

But now that we’ve got all that squared away, we can continue having a good conversation with constructive criticism. Like this:

That makes a lot of sense. In this regard the “freebie” part of the booster isn’t the problem, but rather the fact that it is short and will be wasted because you might have things to do first. Noted.

EDIT: That doesn’t mean the solution is to make the booster longer.

I believe, and @Nana_Skalski can please correct me if I’m wrong, that the argument was that it is manipulative and forcing players into a specific type of gameplay. Instead of most other parts of EVE which allows the player to choose which type of gameplay they wish to do.
