Expert Systems - Coming Soon!

This would be even better if it came with a pimped out ship for the activity, that automatically respawned if it were ever destroyed - up until the expert system timer ran out, at which point the ship would disappear.

This is potentially are VERY good idea.

But the biggest hurdle in retaining new players that I have found when recruiting all my friends and family to try EVE is the sheer amount of ‘manual’ everything. Cargo doesn’t get loaded/unloaded (especially mission items), basic items/materials are scattered across 10 different systems when putting together a starter ship, warp navigation is impossible with the base overview/UI, etc

I would also agree with either removing the Magic 14, just like the old Learning Skills.

Lastly, this system should be advanced to all levels, maybe for us vets to try something like a carrier/dreadnought.

I wouldn’t make it pimped out. That’d send the wrong message, and teach the wrong lessons.

Also, because it’s CCP, we all know people would be able to insure the ship, and make money losing it.

Tie the Expert AI INTO the ship, rather than some accelerator…

This should be useful for some new players, and I think it will help get some people to try new things without the worry that by doing that they may be screwing up their character progression and wasting time training stuff they end up not liking it.

But you do realize they will be charged twice for this ?

Once for this expert thing , that goes away and once for the subscription itself, if they decide to stick around…

Edit: If they screw up their character, they can just re-invite themselves using the recruitment link and get a new free alpha char with 1 mil SP bonus and free training until 5 mil SP.

WAVE
for Arrendis

Only if they choose to buy it, and only if they choose to buy a sub.

No wonder, EVE is dying when even CSM is behind something so absurd.

EVE isn’t dying, and there’s no reason for us to oppose something designed for new players to let them try things out without committing.

How is this without committing when you will actually have to pay to try things ? LOL

Are you in troll mode today Mr. Brisc ?

I want to hear @Mike_Azariah ‘s opinion about new players, not Goons’.

You mean like it was in the beginning?

Wait whaaaaat, you mean CCP is a “for-profit” business whose literal reason to exist is to make money?

I’m never in troll mode. It’s not committing because it’s not going to be expensive, and it’s temporary.

And what is the source of that ? Would you like to share this with us ? Or should we just take your word for it ?
Also, by what standard do you define “not expensive” ?
And exactly, it is temporary , for something you have to pay and that you might or might not get any benefits from it…

Yeah, just let them waste RL money, get ganked at undock, rage quit and hate EVE even more than if they fail normal way.

This is only money grab. This fix zero issues with NPE and player retention. But I guess CCP realized that they failed to milk 1.3 milion people last year. So instead trying to keep those people around by fixing stuff reported years ago. They want to make as much as they can before people will leave.

I liked the concept until i read thats NES Only…
Seeing my Favorit Game/Game studio moving towards Companies like EA thats cashes for everything makes me sad…

Dear CCP,

please combine your Expert System with Omega.
Here is my idea:
Add new Clone state:
Alpha - like alpha nowadays
Alpha Plus - like a Alpha but you can push one “profession” of choice to level 3 or 4 skills but still Alpha restrictions for 5$ a month
Omega light - Like alpha plus but no restrictions. Only possible for 1-3 month. if our away for more than 1 years you can do it again for 1 month. 10$ a month
Omega - Omega state + one “expert profession” normal price

The pricing will be announced, and you’ll have your answer to these questions. And yes, it’s temporary - you get the benefit of being able to do something you couldn’t otherwise do for a limited amount of time. It’s like buying a priority pass at Disneyworld.

Not NES. The Eve Store - the website store.
