Only accepted mutual wars are free. Normal agressive wars have no free option at all and if defenders pile in, that’s their choice.
i give up
Seems pretty free to me if defenders choose to defend. Then 1 x 100mil war gets you like…however many targets joined.
Was it my beautiful mug?
For an ongoing 100 mill per week. Attackers cannot access free wars and so while defenders don’t have to pay anything to ally in, the war still costs ISK to maintain and the attacker can choose not to pay, then the defenders have no war either. They would need to pay the fee and become the attacker.
Your point seems rather mute. Mutual wars are the only free way to have an ongoing highsec war without fees.
Yeah but I mean…that’s chump change per each war for any small corp? That’s not really that large of a cost I guess is how I look at it.
I can’t imagine corporations running 127wars like Pirat have problems raising 100mil a week. Maybe raising 12.7Bil pushes their budget… that would be an insurmountable cost for little ole’ me…
So what do you want?
I wanted to know if there were parts of it that I was missing after reading the “War: Sometimes War Changes” article.
And I was missing a lot of it, you guys filled in a lot of gaps.
But on the surface, 100mil per war sounded retarded.
That wouldn’t stop anyone from waging wars…so I couldn’t figure out how that was supposed to be a nerf or balance compared to the sliding scale previously.
It’s not a nerf and wasn’t intended by CCP to be one.
It was a change that makes it more expensive to declare wars against small groups and less expensive to declare wars against large groups, but about the same overall cost based on the average cost of all wars prior to the change.
Well if they’re that small create some dang alts and put them in their corp to make themselves bigger lol.
