Explain WarDec costs for me?

I’m a solo alpha clone guy and 700Mil does not seem out of my league. So for a corp…seeems really low.

Not saying you’re wrong, I agree that was CCP’s intent, I just don’t see how they effected it yet, because the assets of the carebears are still vulnerable provided you did recon first.

So what do you want?

No they are not. They just have to not deploy any structures in their main corp and they are 100% immune from attack. The cost doesn’t matter (even though it is twice the cost now to attack than was the typical cost to dec a small carebear corp before) then as they are completely immune now.

The mechanic was just nerfed into the ground for aggressors so I really don’t see what you are concerned about.

I just want to understand the basic mechanic, because when I read it it’s heavily in favor of one side or another based on things they didn’t explain.

Namely, the what happens when you add allies.

Alpha with Corp Management 1 can be ceo of a corp and can own, launch and anchor a medium structure (8K M3). You need omega skills to haul the larger models.

Yes, the fee is now a flat fee of 100 million per week.

CCP analysed the costs of wars prior to the changes and found that 100 mill was close to the average cost of wars under the old system, so they’ve changed it to a flat fee.

It’s now cheaper to declare war against a large group and more expensive to declare war against a small group, compared to pre-change.

I didn’t know tht but that’s cool bit of info thanks! I wish I knew where to look up the alpha/omega differences. I can only find them when on game looking at the skill tree.

I read that from their “War sometimes war changes”, I just think it’s silly that not all corps were padding their corps with alts so that the prices were as high as possible.

100 person corps is lvl 5 first skill corp management? They coulda done better.

500mil cap should have been standard.

When you add allies (only the defender can do that), they can shoot the aggressing group.

Corps can join the attacking group to make them larger, but that’s not something that happens much. Allies still favour the defender, which is ok.

Alistair, you seem to want to post on every subject on this forum, without reading anything before, and without knowing much about what you are talking, and give your (false) opinion. You did that about wormholes (Best Newb Careers? and Hostile SItes), about scanning (Can't get your site scan past some%!?), about trading (Building Metric for Trading Technique - Be Alpha ), and now about war dec. In all these threads, some people answered you “please, read dev blogs or guides before writing”, …

Thanks, yeah that is heavily stacked for the defender, ok cool

I could live in a hole too.

But I’d rather interact with people and learn about a game with gamers, not sit in a fycking dusty library and quietly read about it by my lonesome.

You do you booboo…look the other way

are you kidding?
here is what you wrote in the trading thread: advice for new players: " First free advice? Don’t listen to the Omegas that whine other people don’t know anything, they think they own the place because they payed to be here. They got maxed out SP alts on career paths and have no technique"

I see some kind of contradiction, man…

I’m ok with that.

maybe you should meet a guy called Dryson

Is he as beautifully handsome as me?

Also, pretty much my last question on this thread is…

Does your cost to declare war go up for each corp in a defender’s alliance? Or are they all freebees part of the package deal?

It’s a flat 100 mill per week fee. That’s been explained multiple times already.

There are no variations. Just one, simple fee no matter what size the defenders are.

There is no such thing as freebeas part of the package deal.

That one I needed spelled out. It’s just mindblowing you get so much free wardecs if defenders pile in. I couldnt wrap my head around that.

But as you showed elsewhere. It’s too easy for corps to avoid being dec’d in the first place for it to matter anymore
