Remove the requirement for being at war. Instead, allow players to plex any beacon without needing to enlist in a militia. Engaging in FW activities would instead apply a suspect timer to the player.
Benefits
Open Access: This change would make FW accessible to all players without restricting their ability to participate in other game activities, such as mining, incursions, or trading at hubs.
Flexibility: Players could seamlessly switch between FW and other activities without limitations.
Equal Opportunities: All players would have equal access to trade hubs and other resources.
Addresses Exploits: Eliminates issues like seagulling and awoxing by removing the need for militia enlistment.
Rationale
The core content of FW takes place in low-security (low-sec) space, where players can already engage in combat without war declarations. Requiring militia enlistment and war decs adds unnecessary complexity without enhancing the gameplay experience.
All this does is take away. We already can access the trade hub, FW is already accessible to all players, and can switch between all activities. This does nothing to address seagulling or awoxing.
Things that are taken away: The ability to work for a particular militia, RP, high sec pvp, having allies without worrying too much about standings, among other points too numerous.
So, ring the bell in the Caldari Militia HQ, organize a fleet and clear up that threat? I mean, that what Faction Warfare is about, no? Your own fault if you play solo in a warzone where teamwork always wins.
Today i am surrounded by blue in the BF (The orange is blue to the blue and used to âawoxâ) but they are not blue. I think 8 people was âawoxedâ by them. Those 8 people come into the BF expecting friendlies because they show as blue but they are not.
My point is forcing people to be member of the NPC militias to access FW content only causes confusion and exploits
No itâs not. Nullsec is âno rules PvPâ, everyone can engage everyone freely with all weaponry the game has to offer. The rules of engagement in HS and LS are different. FW changes some of these rules and you are told before you join, either live with that or donât enlist.
Of course. If you donât like how FW works, donât join. You know that well-hidden secret that if you simply ignore FW, militia members suprisingly cannot attack you freely in HS and thus you can completely ignore their âJita campingâ? Crazy, isnât it?
Why should I? I give you the feedback that you deserve: That what you complain about is not an issue but an intentional consequence for pilots enlisted in the Faction War. It is meant to be that way and not âa problemâ. You just donât understand that.
Theyâre probably new to the militia? Not sure, I didnât check their zkill.Looks like theyâve got decent standings with Caldari, so they can hang out there and slowly lose their Caldari rep, no big deal.
I donât think faction navy should even exist at all, highsec should feel more like lowsec, in my opinion.
Also, your security status shouldnât matter in your own empire, faction police should be off if you are a -10 gangsta, only CONCORD should come to you if you commit crimes. If the enemy militia is invading your highsec, you should be able to bring in your -10 sec status alts to fight back in your own space and run lawful tasks unbothered.
