tell me you don’t understand basic game mechanics without telling me?
as has been pointed out, MWDs already do this.
here’s another hot tip: you can combine an MWD with an Improved Cloak and warp your haulers around in almost complete safety!
jump a gate, ALIGN to your next destination.
hit Cloak + MWD. Red cycle the MWD. (I have Cloak as F1, MWD as F2 and Nulli as F3 on my haulers for this)
as the MWD is finishing its cycle, decloak and hit warp.
You’ve aligned and warped in ~10s in a tanked DST. The only way to get caught is either some object close by preventing you from cloaking, or a VERY good tackler that gets the decloak.
Ask around in your alliance. I’d hope that someone would know of this sorcery.
There’s also a thing you can do to align your titan even faster IIRC, if you use an MWD (probably a capital-sized one) and then scram the titan when it’s reached the proper speed, you can immediately warp because the scram turns off the MWD but isn’t strong enough to hold the titan down.
So what’s the actual downside? More mass means a slower align but since the module makes you align fast then it seems like a no-brainer to put on anything that doesn’t need to move fast on grid.
Higgs rig?
The game should have an “Active Inertial Stabilizer” that fit in a mid slot instead of people having to use MWD as a work around
Why not an “I can go anywhere I want to go mod” at this point?
Why do we need that when we already have a MWD?
They already exist for people who want to be idiots. Filamanet into null and out to dunk on someone, cyno in and out to dunk, this go anywhere instantly this stuff exists for people that want to kill unsuspecting players.
But if you are miner or hauler you get nothing. But then dont complain about inflation?
EVE is a 24/7/365 PvP everywhere game. You knew this when you installed it. There shouldn’t be any unsuspecting players…
CCPs strategy to curtail inflation is bad
stick to the topic.
YOU created this thread about your desire for a fast align module.
now YOU are complaining about EVE economics and inflation?
Sheesh.
You have another thread on that subject, why cross pollinate?
What?
If haulers and miners can align faster they can do more trips in a day among other things, what do you think this will do for inflation?
Nothing, because haulers and miners are neither generating ISK into the economy nor consuming ISK from the economy while they do so.
It’s pretty ironic you have “strong in economics” in your forum bio, to be honest.
If miners and haulers can align faster there would be less inflation. For example there would be ever so slightly more supply of minerals and people are more likely to haul stuff and they can also haul more in a day if a fast align module was introduced Case closed?
You can keep repeating it, but that won’t make it true.
Maybe @Gerard_Amatin is one of the geniuses who think you just remove ISK from the game to make prices go down
Well yes, that’s how it works.
When there’s less ISK in the game ISK will be worth more compared to other goods.
Items would still be equally valuable, but as ISK becomes sparse it becomes more valuable so you pay more ISK to obtain the same value of goods as before.
If industry and trade is booming you can have growing money supply and low inflation
EVE as a perpetual economy is only sustainable in the long term if all the goods (ores and ISK) entering the game are also leaving the game in similar amounts.
You cannot simply compensate growing inflation with growing industry if destruction of those goods doesn’t grow at the same rate, or you would kill the game.
And guess who in this same thread is asking for decreased destruction with better survivability for miners and haulers?
Destruction of ships is what keeps the industry afloat. Your suggestion decreases destruction.
