They might actually sell more tickets to FanFest if they told us which developer was responsible for the stupid red dot idea and then let us throw tomatoes at them or put them in a dunk tank or something.

… taking 5 to 6 months to complete the ā€œshortageā€ stage is going to lose a lot of accounts …
… a revamp of the mining industry is essential …

One of the problems in taking a shorter time to do it is the stockpiles that the Blocks have. If those are not exhausted, then the ā€˜shortage’ doesn’t do anything other than annoy the miners for a bit. It will take a minimum of 3 to 6 months for those supplies to dwindle, if not closer to a year.

When PI was introduced and items moved away from NPC vendors, I seem to remember it taking about a year for prices to stabilise due to the quantities that players had stockpiled.

  • Removed inventory badging from salvaging
  • Removed inventory badges for scooped drones

 getting there… still pings for looting.
And if you’re in space and taking items from something like a POS array or a fleet hanger it still seems to PING image after image every image single image item image moved image

Also that auto rearranging items in the cargo hold is very annoying (such as when you add an item to an existing stack!) makes it harder to put items together that you may want to group manually and seriously must be adding extra work and server requests that aren’t necessary!

Give us the option to turn the damn thing off. Simple as that. I’ll be surprised if you’re left with more than 1-2% of the playerbase leaving the red dots on.

"The point is, ladies and gentlemen, that red dots, for lack of a better word, is good. Red dots is right, red dots works. Red dots clarifies, cuts through and captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit. Red dots in all of its forms. Red dots for life, money, love, knowledge, has marked the upward surge of mankind, and red dots – you mark my words – will not only save EVE Online, but that other malfunctioning corporation called the CCP. does ccp even have a testing team any more? Or some devs who play?

:red_circle: This is getting out of hand. Now the dumb cargo chime plays when I log in as well.

:red_circle: It would be nice if this actually were true. However, only certain items get to the top. When I add relic site loot, it lands in the middle of the cargohold where it is supposed to be according to my sorting choice. So, CCP screwed that up, too.

So do you think maybe they don’t know how to test things, or do and are just generally incompetent and disconnected from their own game?

:red_circle: They test features? That would be news to me. Or well, if they test them and they still end up this bad, I do not want to know how bad the glitches were before the features were put through the testers.

oh well at least the community team can help smooth things over in the future…

:red_circle: Feb 18th update: Still no option to turn off the ā€œRED DOTā€ or " You have a new item" guess I’m not logging in to play Eve :red_circle:

Apparently over 400 people do not own smartphones

The way items in the inventory move around when you’re trying to fit said item (in a stack) to your ship is beyond frustrating. Please consider reverting this change, it is very very annoying.

Cypr3ss.
