February 2020 Release - General Feedback

The anom being up means there’s rats. The beacon being up means site is (or was) dirty.

If that isn’t clear enough:

Just anom, no beacon = fresh site, no one has warped to it (yet).
Anom AND beacon = site in progress, or someone triggered site and then left/escaped
no anom, just beacon = site completed recently. probably someone still on grid looting and/or salvaging…

Beacon seems to stay up 2-3 mins after last uncloaked ship left on grid warps off, I’ve gone next door and come back to system and watched my own beacon despawn.

It’s more about warning hostiles of me though.

So about the new Redeem Items bar and window: I don’t really like that the order of the items is reversed. I want to know which items will expire first, and now I have to scroll to the bottom instead of those being the first listed. And of course now less items fit in the bar/window, so I have to scroll more as well.

Regarding Yeet A Fleet. While fun they are abused.

They need a serious balance in where as you may come and go across the galaxy to move stuff or get in and out very quickly. Meaning ive seen players use the 5 man filament with 5 haulers and literally skip 50 jumps to get home in like 3 good rolls.

Also from a PVP perspective its really lame when someone uses a filament to jump to your space and as soon as you show up to pvp with them they just take the filament and run away because its only got a 15 minute reactivation timer.

A solution to both the problems: Add a 2 hour polarization (including wormholes). This prevents rolling filaments to get a good spawn near their home. (at-least based on activity) This filament should be a “dig your own grave and lay in it” kind of thing not something to be abused.

Its still random, so idk how you see this as being abused, they could use the first one and land in the middle of a fleet and die horribly.

ARGH, I just noticed this as well :frowning: years of history, gone :frowning:
In the good old days, we could log into a CCP website and download our market transactions as a CSV file - that was fun, didn’t require 3rd party tools. Would be nice if we could have d/l contract history for archiving.

I’ve also noticed NEW ADS on the character select screen! :frowning:

CCP created them this way, Hit-and-run, fun for roamers and null… well, when was the last time CCP actually listened to opinion of nullsec?

Already unsubbed when hoboleaks had them.
Pausing my subscription until they go away.

Filaments send a really wrong message: “You, nullsec player, is a clown for on-demand entertainment for our REAL customers, the jita undock yeet trashes, but we still make you pay for it!”.

No ■■■■, CCP, I won’t.

I mean: why would´t CCP introduce filaments for lowsec or… yes i dare to say that… wormholes! Because CCP is targeting null, that´s why.

Well, first off thanks for the eve pulse. Watched it and am glad you decided to communicate specifically about the red dots. Helps me know you are listening and are real people, (if slightly geeky) I think I still disagree that new players will find it helpful, but maybe so, for a day or two. I think we still need a way to turn it completely off because its doing my head in still every time I loot something.

On a different subject, I think the wormholes with love thing adding extra connections is not great for me as a newer player. It increases pvp…and pvp is fun for players who have higher skills and who can fly fun ships. Players who have been here for years or who pay oodles to get sp. I think new content…in the end will be more interesting than rearranging existing content. Lets discover some new faction area, or introduce new types of npc combat sites…something like that which will keep the game fresh and interesting.

I’m all for low-sec and wormhole destination filaments! Sounds fun!
CCP is targeting null-sec, and rightfully so, it’s frightfully dull and stagnant out there. Just the way @Orca_Platypus likes it. He should really try out high-sec, it’s perfectly suited for his purported play-style.

@Bobo_Auscent the whole game is either direct pvp or indirect pvp, try flying a t1 ewar frig or tackle frig in a small gang, it’s fun as hell. It’s a useful and fun role, that you don’t have to spend tons of isk on.
New faction, new sites: did you miss the whole triglavian thing? It’s not 1st day newbie friendly, but fine with a few friends.
The dot thing is terrible, I agree.

You can have all that fun.

Was never dull and stagnant for me, I had 500 kills in the last year, so why don’t we target someone who had 0-10, instead of me?

Never denied it. I was perfectly content in hisec back in 2013, until CCP decided that my 6mil ticks in L4 and 31mil ISK per hour Scordite mining gig are too fat for all the suicide ganking ■■■■■■■■ I deal with, and nerfed hisec into oblivion, forcing everybody and his dog into nullsec.

…for the extremely narrow-minded, that is.
pvp system is just strapped to the side of the sandbox, it’s niche, and hardly relevant.

It’s mind-numbingly boring and nauseatingly pointless, like the whole eve pvp niche system.
Assets get on grid, exchange numbers, some assets disappear. yay, excitement overflowing.

At any point the game gets something you can farm, a crapton of russians/chinese farm it below the veldspar ISK/hr. Anything new is either ■■■■■■■■ (resouce wars) or devalued (triglavian crap).

Who doesn’t?

For me for now about 5 months into it…pvp isn’t that fun when I’m always getting killed, can’t fly the ships I’d like to as part of my group. But once I can fly a tengu/Loki and nab those pesky critters coming into my wh I’ll be having fun with pvp. Just need another 2 months of training…since I’m el cheapo and don’t pay for sp via LSIs. But until then I’m enjoying the pve combat sites and working toward soloing ded 5 and up sites atm. Gives me a challenge which I enjoy and rewards are ok.

When have you been there last time? Do you mean that Tenal and Branch changing owner while i type this + Deklein is getting under attack + Delve has more kills/24h than some “fun” lowsec regions = dull and stagnant? Every time i see someone write “nullsec” and “stagnant” in the same meaning i see someone who clearly doesn´t have a clue.

Because you deserve it more obviously

I meant, lack of farming was why you left Highsec, according to you.

You have to explain this one to me, because I don’t get what you mean.

hisec got absolutely squashed by CCP.
I farmed to get ships and skills needed to do other things.
Ability to get those things in hisec within reasonable time was simply removed.

That’s easy, those people wouldn’t post as much salt on the forums, which wouldn’t be any fun now, would it.

Cypr3ss.

The biggest nerf to high sec was null bots devalueing ISK. Missions and rat bounties have not changed in forever but prices of goods sold by capsuleers did. If you want to blame anyone for high sec missions not giving you enough isk look to all your farming buddies in null.
