Feedback on 64-bit Mac Client

My Mac issue is different than those I am reading above. I get error message “Error Could not copy files for Tranquility” when I select an account to launch from launcher. I get the same error message with new 64 bit and when I change settings back to 32 bit. Support ticket and launcher logs submitted with zero response on what to do or status.

I am running Macbook Pro Retina mid-2015 Mojave OS 10.14.6

If anyone has a solution or workaround, I would love to hear it, thanks!

Serious issue since patch

Client completely freezes when trying to warp every time

Close client makes my macbook actually log out!!

I got the 64 Bit Client to work. At least partially. In the EVE Launcher in the menu in the menu bar I selected the preferences. In the preference pane I selected a different wine version in the wine options. At my EVE Launcher “default” was set and I turned it into something like wine-4.15-Stage-winehq. Then the Launcher downloaded some wine distribution files. I changed back to “default” and after that the wine64 file was there.

Same goes for me. Freeze every time.

I think his biggest complaint is that about lack of continued communication.
I sent in a bug report via the web and they said I should submit it in game. How can someone submit a problem in game when the problem freezes their client. I even linked log lite and even made a video of the issues to send in.

One reason I haven’t resubbed my accounts is the support keeps getting worse.

I had to clear the existing files related to EVE under /Library and watch Launcher slowly reload it all. Once done the client (1577071) started, played the intro movie, and ran. This is on a current 10.15 beta running on a 2015 MBP, with Launcher settings set to Beta/64bit/Latest/. After exiting the app the Launcher (1580296) crashed. The client is noticeably faster reacting to mouse clicks.

In the last ten days, I’ve downloaded three launcher updates. Clearly CCP is trying, but I’m not going to 64 bit until I’m sure it’s going to work.

The in game crashes are worse, generally it says could not translate to 64 bit or data corrupted in translation etc etc etc.
09-01-2020 since the last patch the lag is insane, start game all good and then the lag starts and it gradually gets worse and worse and worse over the next 30 minutes then the game is unplayable, sitting there for up to 10 minutes to jump a gate and hoping someone on the other side does not kill you before you have time to warp off. 14 minutes to warp 4AU to a station and enter the station.

Right now the game is not worth the cost of Omega if playing on a Mac using Catalina 10.15.2

It could prove helpful if you could send a bug report from the game using F12, with your system information, that way I can take a closer look at why you are experiencing these issues :slight_smile:
