Since there is a “board my corvette” button in the station UI now, there should be a “board my rorqual”, too, giving you a free new rorqual with excavation drones and all the functionality proposed in this thread.

Remove rorquals from the game.

If the timer on the Industrial Core was changed to 1 min, or preferably stopped when clicked but you still used the fuel for the whole 5 min, players would have better chances and use the Rorqual slightly more often with less protection. Without the Industrial Core, the mining benefits are the same of an Orca with the same rigs and cheaper drones. I won’t talk about the boosts. This is the best benefit of the ship.
The new changes are before my time using this ship, so I don’t know the wonders of the pre-nerfed version. I use it quite often, but since I have no alts, this is quite literally, a mining ship, with little need for boosts.
Basically, the getting stuck for 5 min is the only complaint I can see about this ship with my limited experience. Other than that, it works just fine!
At a minimum they could at least un-nerf some of the things they have done over the past year to the Rorq and Excavators. Now that anyone can sneak in system without notice, I think it only fair that all of the nerfs to Rorq use should be rolled back. Risk vs. Reward used to be a thing in EVE.
