You never seen a wizard insta pwn train in EQ2 ( that was fun) or dual boxed in WoW then.
They also seem to have lost all of the original Devs. Weird how those usually coincide.
Iâve been here off and on since 2003.
Iâve seen a LOT of changes over the years. The biggest change would have to be the playerbase itself. People seemed so much friendlier in the early days. Mostly you had the pirates and anti-pirates and that made for a lot of fun. The game evolved, it much more complex than it used to be. I still play from time to time, running a few missions and keeping my training up to date. I may dip my toe in the new FW and see what its about.
âitâs true. pirate ARE responsible. pirates are THE TRUE SCOURGE OF THE UNIVERSE. bad hair days, traffic congestion, allergies, flakey hardware, ITâS ALL PIRATESâ FAULT. that weird smell you canât place? PIRATESâ
Iâve played for quite a while, and I think the game is going in a good direction. Iâve lived in lowsec, so donât give a toss about null or highsec politics. Someone from those areas might have a different opinion, and unfortunately the law protects their ârightâ to be wrong, so it is what it is.
it just sounds better than chars
Think the latest dev news on Youtube contradicts the statement of not listening at the moment, maybe in the past it was directionless - at the moment it about making things easier - and that are probably the thing we miss most. Cause if you did not know a simple thing like where to find an agent - you need to ask - by asking it created community. I think that is what we all miss the most - many feel disconnected and play solo instead of dealing with a know it all youngster that mostly has ego with little interest in telling in old player where what is. So we figure it out on our own and just move on⌠or am I wrong? Returning players also have much skilling to do to catch up - where some things we could do just fine - now itâs oh wait I need this and that - so we grind all over again - only to find other things to do by the time those skills are done - it a whirlwind really - but community - will always be missed - a team chasing the dream - the dream are only a dream though⌠or am I wrong here?
Recursive thread since 2004.
Yeah sorry bro, I stand by my original statement so Iâm gonna have to disagree with you.
OH common man, merely reporting an interview with CCP that was done a week ago and letting you know that what was said. Not defending anyone or taking on anyone only reporting⌠boy oh boy⌠check the comments from players on there - you are most welcome to your opinion and so am I - it is afterall an opinion not fact. So when u done swapping ur sox (cause they definately on the wrong feet) beer?
CCP is very good at presenting themselves as being Politically Correct, course what CCP says and does is two very different thingsâŚ
And our opinions donât really matterâŚ
As mentioned I dunno, not going into bashing anyone be it player or CCP. June patch was discussed and CSM feedback was mentioned - more than that I cannot say as I dunno. All I see is good progress in many areas - Others not so nice. Will players ever be happy - nope - it easier to be part of the problem than be part of the solution. Anyhow I gtg and thank u for ur tme and input.
What an irritating song, makes me want to gank a newbie.
Without bashing anyone, Iâd recommend that with CCP, you pay attention to actual delivered results once theyâre up and running, as opposed to what they say in devblogs or interviews or news releases.
If youâre impressed by something CCP has actually delivered, point it out. If youâre impressed by what CCP says they have coming âsoonâ, well youâll find a lot more skepticism from anyone whoâs played EVE longer than a year or two.
uh huh u done yet?
Especially the ones that spend their time looting ore and gas and trying to con everyone into believing it was âfreeâ. Thank goodness there are brave civil defence volunteers ready to take them on in fleets of Catalysts and rid the universe of the evil pirates. Itâs a thankless taskâŚbut someone has to do it.
lol quality and on a more spooky note i only watched this episode 2 days ago
For me it has been more than 10 years. My attitude is the same as yoursârelaxed and no commitment. I have found a great corp full of nice people, and now, Eve has become a good place to escape from the pressures of RL.
Back in the day my favorite alternate reality was Asheronâs Call. But that game is gone, so now I am here.
