Just curious, why wouldn’t you want more jump clones?
The opposite for me:
More jump clones would be great as it allows players to have more implant sets, the current amount of clones is limiting if you have a clone for training, some clones for various implant sets, a few clones for different mindlinks and more clones set up for jumping to other structures. More jump clones would offer us more flexibility, without affecting game balance much as we’re still limited by the same jump clone cooldown for movement.
I would support that first point. The second, not so much.
If we get more alts per account it suddenly becomes much cheaper to maintain omega PI, trading and industry alts. For example if we would have 6 characters per account, one Omega account would have access to 36 planets for PI, rather than the existing maximum of 18. Industrialists would see their industry slots cheapened, traders would get access to more market slots in more places for the price of one subscription.
Increasing the amount of characters per account may have serious consequences for the value of those activities. Whether cheaper access to passive activities like PI and industry is good or bad is another discussion, but more characters per account will have a big effect. Personally I think 3 characters per account is fine.
Two suggestions for jump clones, see Suggestion for changes to jump clones and More itemised billing for features The jump clone system as it is is outdated and horrible. It was left to rot, got a facelift, but only did half of the job.
Brisc is a model CSM member in my opinion. He will 100% be on my ballot
I have obtained a suitable financial settlement from Brisc, and am satisfied with the terms and conditions. My lawyers have clarified that I am required to endorse him without reservation, and the NDA bars me from further comment.
I don’t always agree with what you say, but I cannot question your committment, good humour and work ethic. You are an absolute certaintity for the CSM.
Best of luck on CSM.
I would love to have more clone slots. I am always struggling with jiggling my implants, but it should just be a skill book that is hard capped, like now.
I’m definitely not a fan of paying RL cash to be able to “unlock more clone slots”. That has a direct effect on the game, unlike skins etc
In my opinion, the amount of clone slots should already be higher through the use of the readily available skillbooks. I would like to see the cap be at 15 or 20 as opposed to the current 10 we have.
That’s just my opinion on that though.
Brisc would get my vote based solely on the work he’s done for the CSM and for Eve regardless, and for the fact he’s a likeable person. But monetizing something that gives you an edge over another player is the one thing I am definitely not a fan of on his agenda.
Honestly, it’s just something that I know people want and would pay for. I would much rather we get it for free.
Stop taking credit for removing the red dot, you actually didnt do anything. You think CCP wouldn’t hear about the complaints and do something without you? Get over yourself. The CSM is useless and completely not needed. You have no power and you have no more of a voice then the rest of us.
W: “I didn’t know we had a CSM. I thought we were an autonomous collective.”
D: “You’re fooling yourself. We’re livin’ in a dictatorship, a self-perpetuating autocracy, in which the working class–”
W: “Oh, there you go, bringing class into it again–”
D: “But that’s what it’s all about! If only people would listen–”
B: “Please, please, good people! I am in haste. Whose keepstar is that?”
W: “No one lives there.”
B: “Then who is your Wizard?”
W: “We don’t have a Wizard.”
B: “What?”
D: “I told you. We’re an narco-syndicous commune. We take it in turn, to act as sort of an officer for the week–”
B: Yes I see."
D: “–but all the decisions of that officer have to be ratified at a special bi-weekly meeting–”
B: “Yes, I see.”
D: “–by a simple majority, in the case of purely internal affairs–”
B: “Be quiet.”
D: “–or by a two-thirds majority, in the case of–”
B: “Be quiet, I order you, be quiet!”
W: “Order, eh? Who’s he think he is?”
B: “Why, I am Brisc! Your CSM”
W: “I didn’t vote for you.”
B: “You don’t vote for Brisc.”
W: “Well, how’d you become Fountain Frank, then?”
B: “The Wizard with the Hat at Fan Fest,… [angels sing] …his arms clad in the purest shimmering samite, held aloft an Erebus from the bosom of Fountain, signifying by divine providence that I, Brisc, was to pilot the Erebus. [singing stops] THAT is why I’m your CSM!”
D: “Listen, strange wizards, lyin’ in combat anonomalies, distributin’ Titans is no basis for a system of government. SUPREME executive power derives from a mandate of the masses, not from some farcical bbq at fanfest”
B: “Shut up!”
D: “You can’t expect to weild supreme executive power, just 'cause some spacey tart threw a Titan at you!”
Lol, what a bitterbear killjoy.
You have no idea what you’re talking about.
CCP hears constant complaints from people about literally everything. There is not a single thing in this game that somebody isn’t bitching about on a daily basis. Breaking through that noise is critical if you want to get things done.
I had multiple one-on-one meetings with the Production Director specifically on the red dot, I talked about it in every single meeting we had. I talked about it with Hilmar directly. You ever have a one-on-one conversation with the CEO?
The rest of CSM 15 acknowledges that I was the one who got this done, and so does the company.
You think I’m dumb enough to buy an Erebus? That’s the most offensive thing you wrote here.
I mean, the first paragraph seems to be trolling to live up to the name. But I did enjoy the lengthy Holy Grail paraphrase, Erebuttal and all.
I have to admit that “narco-syndicous commune” triggered me.
Anarcho-syndicalist, please. Proudhon is rolling in his grave at that one.
Ok, yeah I’ll agree that that is one egregious bone apple tea.
To prove that I respect all play styles, even the ones I don’t particularly do, I decided to try my hand at some creative writing role-play style, and I wrote a story for the fiction contest.
Of course, since it’s me, I had to make a lot of inside jokes.
Enjoy.
Booking CSM 17 interviews on behalf of Ashterothi Scheduling for this weekend. Let us know if you’re available.
We’ve each been asked to rate four areas of expertise for inclusion in CCP’s CSM marketing this year, allocating a maximum of 15 points. While I really hate the idea that CSM members need to be “experts” (you only need to play the game and be ‘expert’ in showing up to meetings on time to be effective) I guess I’ll go along with this thought experiment, grumble grumble get off my lawn.
