Why should they? Now newbros become just a burden and a real loss of isk, not just a loss of isk/hour. Newbies mining with you at a moon? This means that for all they mine the equal amount of moongoo is destroyed. Why would you through away isk in EVE ?! This patch will be a kick right in the face of newbies because noone will want them around anymore … except for gankers who got a huge bonus, while mining got a huge nerf.
Just my 2 cents
Oh great - my orca can now use an industrial core - which by the way means I can’t move for 5 minutes. And the drone mining has been nerfed, there are losses from compression, there is waste from mining which may or may not affect yield?!, and a bunch of other stuff I can’t be bothered to remember.
I am playing it right, which is why I know these changes are only going to benefit me.
Im not one of these people threatening to quit because I cant afk krab my 5 rorqs like I used to.
Whats your reason for not liking these changes, again?
Because if your corp supported your new players long enough to become experienced players with t2 mining beams, wouldnt you be making more isk/hr, if thats all you care about?
I am just refering to the boards here and tried to adept to these.
Brave has stated again and again that they will support newbros no matter what. And this is no matter of Brave. Its a matter of those newbros that are in a NPC-Corp or trying to do anything solo. I can imagine, that newbros in HS ice-belts gets now pushed out of range or what ever from those who want to have a max isk/hour for a playstyle that got nerfed again and again and that is hardly selfsupporting.
From my playstyle?! Well, I will have a look and also have a closer look to other games around as from time to time eve just sucks, as with these ill thought out changes. But that is just my opinion and as I know that nobody around here gives a ■■■■ about andother miner/indu-char canceling x-accounts .. I spare you that rant
But Id say to the point about what about solo etc. New players what Id always say, theres plenty of stuff, you just need to travel a bit. Thats how it used to be and its still trye. Hundreds of accessable low level belts to mine and where no one will care.
But I dont find my fun in isk/hr, so this is just my opinion too
Thx
Problem for a newbro is isk/hour since in order to be able to affort new ships for explo, combat or mining you need isk. Since noone wants to do endless grinding they either switch to ganking with friends, so miners -1 and gankers +1, since there you get easy isk/hour … with these changes even more. Hell, I can remember full fitted procs being able to withstand smaller ganks for some 20mil. Now the base hull cost some 50mil alone.
Anyways … we will see how this will work out.
Just wait, if ore price go up, so will ship hulls. You think mining ships are expensive now.
These mining ships did get a buff but they also got a serious nerf that is not being talked about. The procurer for instance, lost hull and shield HP - 2 mid slots, increase sig radius and will be slower. A 5% increase in resistance will not undo a 2 mid slot loss. So the tankiest T1 barge is not so tanky anymore. We’ll have to wait and see how that plays out. Same with the others.
By turning mining back into the competitive profession it was a very, very long time ago.
It seems that all of you “woke” miners don’t understand any of the basic principles of economics. If minerals fall into your lap easier than crap out of a goose’s loose sphincter, prices will drop, and you’ll end up making less money. If mining becomes more intricate and difficult, then the mineral supply decreases, and economic competition increases.
It’s not just about yields, because yields aren’t directly proportional to your income when you adjust for purchasing power and other economic factors. It’s about the value of your profession in relation to the rest of the economy. If fewer people mine, or if minerals become more scarce, the viability of the profession goes up, and it’s not a mere linear relationship. For example, cutting supply by 25% might lead to minerals jumping in price by 50%, when they only needed to jump by 33% to keep you at the same level of income that you had before.
Y’all are ignorant, and need to go back to school (or at least read some textbooks) to learn these concepts. They’re pretty important to know to do well in our contemporary world anyway, and aren’t useful just for EVE, so it’s time well spent.
Mining isn’t worth the effort because too many people are doing it, and profits are determined by the supply/demand relationship. If too many people are running lemonade stands on your block, then the price of lemonade is going to be very low due to the competition. And at some point, people will start selling below cost just to recoup some of the effort/resources they invested instead of losing everything. Same with mining; if 75% of the game’s population is grinding asteroid belts, mining income will keep getting pushed down as players keep trying to dump their stocks just to get some money into their wallets.
If you want mining to be profitable, stop mining and go do something else for a while.
As far as distribution missions go, the rewards for those are set by CCP and not by players, at least in terms of proportionality to other mission types. It could very well be the case that these missions are indeed not worth doing because they pay less compared to the same amount of effort for other mission types. But these missions have nothing to do with mining/production, so they are a separate topic.
It really wasn’t. Exhumers with Type B crystals and Orca boosts are getting 50+m3/s on sisi. Not including drones. Not including EDENCOM system boosts.
It’s vaguely Trig-related, so the assumption is that there will be more sociopaths/PvP/griefing there, and as such those systems are to be avoided at all costs.
There are places in high-sec that get like a dozen people passing through per day. But most players in the game live within five jumps of Jita, and coincidentally, most gankers do too.
