I think he quit the game. He lost his only spaceship, a Venture. I didn’t gank him because he was a poor, and a newble, but ‘antigankers’ just couldn’t resist griefing him.

I was going to bring him a new Venture, but when I was flying it over, I saw anti-gankers carrying out a ganking operation in Uedama, so I had to log off and wait them out. Unfortunately, that took too much time, and I wasn’t able to deliver the Venture to Rion in time before he expired.

This Rion stuff is low brow silly even viewing it through a role playing lens. Its not even clever. Or even humorous. Its just absurd.
Pretty much the same with calling anti-ganking “ganking by another name”.

No one has done that. Antiganking is synonymous with incompetent, keystone cop capsuleers.
Antigankers who gank though… well the evidence is in the killmails. The antigankers have become gankers, because the evidence shows they gank.

It makes sense though; I can see why Githany Red would choose to eliminate any highsec miners she finds. The minerals they mine usually end up in the public market, where they can be purchased and used to fabricate ships and modules that are then used by gankers.

The antigankers should probably ask that highsec miners loyal to them provide evidence in their bio page.

Look, “anti-gankers” is just a label. Its not a definition in itself. Targeted ganking for the purpose of anti-ganking makes perfect sense. Its like creating a back burn to stop a forest fire spreading. What we have here now is like saying firefighters are arsonists for doing it. Its completely off the rails bat ship.

So you’re saying that ganking isn’t an amoral act, since it’s not something that needs to be avoided on those principles? Interesting. 
Seems like that wouldn’t create a very impartial system. “Give me a bigger donation, and I’ll kick over some extra help for you” instead of having a system in which everyone gets a salary and can’t exploit the system for personal gain.

You’re absolutely right! Without taxes it easily turns into extortion. I’ve even seen it with my own eyes when ag would ask for financial compensation before helping the target.

The ‘antigankers’ are out there, killing innocent newbro Ventures, without any warning! Meanwhile, they are getting ‘donations’ from bot miners. Well, two can play this ‘ganking’ game. I will learn to gank their bots, and that’ll teach em!

Destiny (and others including me) is talking about antigankers (ie. the players/characters). You talked about antiganking (ie. what they claim to do). Here’s your quote:

This is getting philosophical… which came first the ganker or the anti-ganker?
I believe the answer is the anti-ganker. Ganking is the natural response to the fundamental belief system of those that just wish to mine and run their bots in peace. So gankers were born to combat the most evil and dastardly players in this game.
