Give me reason to play this game as paid OMEGA solo account?

Look,

I am married, with job and kids… I love SF, this game ambiance …
I would like to enjoy this game with 1 single account…

I have lost many ships in this game and it is ok. It is part of the game it is the main reason why this game is interesting…

I have lost ships of several hundred of millions and it is ok. It was my fault (auto pilot, mining, transporting … ) but look today I lost only 30Misk what is nothing to me … but look …

It ruins completely my game experience. Why? Because it was multi-accounting kills … As a single account player, I really hate to be killed by multi-accounting … most of them alpha…

You will ask me how do you know they are multies or alpha?

You just feel it with experience of games. Similar names, account creations, eve kill history …

And this make me just feel as an idiot …

Don’t tell me killing by multi-accounting isn’t the best and most effective activity to gain easy ISK … You don’t even need to quit HS… All you need is creating new accounts more and more.

I understand somehow multies are useful for economy … Destruction of so many ISK create demand for more products… But there could be many other ways to create demand … (example ship and component durability) …

There is nothing enjoyable to be killed by people you suspect use exploits and go against EULA rules to make easy ISK and ruin your play time… With all this easy ISK they just pay plex and sponsor more and more accounts…

I play this game since 2006 but each time I stopped just because of that. Just because I have the feel you can’t accomplish anything by playing 1 single account. And for me having several accounts is not enjoyable, clicking on 10 windows is not enjoyable. And loosing all because you have no chance against multi-accounts is not enjoyable. It would be fair against a group of organized players but losing to multi accounts is just not great feeling.

I am so disappointed! I lost 500M the other day but I was not disappointed because it was a fair kill but losing 30M to multi-account player make me feel so bad I am close to give up from this game… that’s the feeling…

Multiple accounts doesn’t neccessarily mean ten or more. How about a second one for scouting on a second screen?
You won’t change other players’ behaviour. If you feel bad, you have to think about countermeasures, like staying in the system in a target painter Frig and receive some Killmails if they gank again, or sell the killright. I must say, it was kind of relieving as the killright was used.

It is the nature of the beast

I also have commitments; family, job, kids, wifey, all that jazz.

I am what can only be described as a “filthy casual”

I live in a nullsec pocket in syndicate.

I get killed, it happens.

I just move on.

I don’t try to work out of the 5 or 6 guys who just killed me are 5 or 6 guys, or 1 with 5 or 6 names, as the outcome is the same.

I take precautions, I learn from my errors, If I need to I spin up an alpha alt to scout.

Some ppl have no creativity for alts or want to make it easier for multi. Some could be RP if at least surnames are the same

How do they do this if you can only log in one alpha account at a time?

Some Capsuleers have independently developed their own methods for reaching out to others.

Yes but I don’t like this legal cheating of multiboxing …

As a single account, you can’t achieve anything … You are feeding this game by spending real money. You feed the company, you feed players who are cheating.

You spend money, you spend hours of playing to get 100M and it is all gone in 10 sec because you can’t defend against group of ships running by same person…

You can use as many ISK to buy warp core stabilizers, rthe multi will come in 3 cheap ships with warp disruptors and take everything you have, buy plex and legal cheat more…

I don’t like it and I had to share it with community …

You can’t go in low sec without being killed 8/10 by players running multiple ships, you spend hours and hours of play to get something as solo account player and you lost everything in 10 sec …

Multiboxing isn’t illegal, it’s legal in the game.

People often use similar name schemas for their alts and create them at the same time. And if they multibox in PVP they will of course have a shared EVE kill history.

This doesn’t make them Alpha pilots.

How do you know they are not Alpha pilots, you may ask.

Well, CCP only allows players to multibox if all accounts are Omega. If you think someone is multiboxing Alpha accounts, go report them because that is illegal.

Multiboxing Omega accounts is legal though.

It’s mechanically no different to lose your ship to multiple multiboxed ships than losing your ship to multiple other players.

Just don’t get caught.

In fact, you have an advantage against multiboxers, their attention is spread thin so their actions are much more limited than if individual pilots were piloting those ships.

Personally I have two Omega accounts and occasionally use two as this is useful for scouting or cynos to move other ships.

Most of the time I just play with one account. And that’s fine.

If you feel outnumbered by multiboxers, have you tried joining a group of other players?

Why not? You can be an Explorer, Miner, Missionrunner, Abyssalrunner, have your own 3-char-Altcorp building or inventing things. You can be frontline soldier in a PvP Corp or Fleetcommander or even Corpleader.
Lets give you a hint: I play on 1 Main-Account for 15years+ and have 1 additional Omega Account for convenience that I usually don’t even multibox. It just exists to be able to quickly buy some stuff in Jita or start some Jobs, give me a scout or quick transporter while I am active with the main Account. And guess what, I have been Corp CEO, I have made thousands of kills, I have (and still do) lived in WHs, even HighClass for some time. I have evicted Corps, I got evicted, I mastered T6 Abyssals from scratch. I have piloted Carriers and Dreadnaughts, I fleet-jumped via BlackOps and Titanbridge, I blitzed L4 missions and used Marauders in PvP. I have been roaming solo, in small gangs and in 100 man fleets. I finished several events, I had my own Blueprint-Industry, I have built ships, even capital ships myself.

So what exactly can’t you achieve without (massive) multiboxing again? Please, tell me.

We don’t need mass multiboxing to make a dent in the Zkillboard.

A trick to share is;

Find out which nulsec systems are hosting incursions and then anchor large warp disruption bubbles on the gates.

It’s a small investment but so much salt can be mined as well as your zkillboard will be lite up with many juicy kills via incursion box’s with your bubble being filled included.

Why not play both?

Ever since one of those bubbles nearly got me I’ve always wanted to give that a try.

Is there any way to safely anchor bubbles and loot the wrecks without being shot by the incursion that you know?

Then why are you here?

I too know better PvE games that I enjoy, but I also enjoy EVE for it’s mix of PvE in a full loot PvP environment, which is a unique kind of gameplay that no strictly PvP game or strictly PvE game can replace.

People can enjoy multiple games, but it sounds you don’t enjoy EVE. So why are you here?

You better bribe the loot fairy.

Press X to doubt. Alpha accounts haven’t been able to gank in high sec for years now…

Yes but that’s only occasional, I assume this thread talks in general.

I think they can still bait a miner with a jet can

You are whining.

The reality is obvious to anyone who multiboxes. There is a diminishing margin of return per account, and the cost scales up faster than the benefits, such that investing in multiple characters is a risk which can easily lead to bankruptcy. It is fallacy to assume that multiboxers have a huge advantage over you, as they cannot easily control their many accounts.

There are also uses for multboxing that have nothing to do with ganking. A solo miner might use it to place that Orca together with their best mining ship.

Personally I’ve yet to run into one of these multibox gankers. Maybe because I’ve yet to go to null sec. Is that where they hang out?

I’ve been playing just one month now, but I know there are high risk with high reward areas. When I go to low sec, I bring my venture. It is worth about 1.3M. I can afford to lose it and I have backups already made if I do. I typically make at least the price of the Venture on these trips and have lost just one Venture so far.

I read the golden rule of Eve Online when I first played: “Never fly something (or with something in the cargo) you can’t afford to lose.” So far I’ve only broken that rule a few times. When I first got my retriever, at first I could not afford to replace it, but after a few profitable trips including ice harvesting, it has paid for itself.

Maybe you are going to areas with too much risk for what you can afford to replace?
