Possible loot theft and player responsibility for protecting loot and implementing fair loot sharing systems among their group (incl. different concepts that may or may not attract members) is a good thing. It spices up the game and give players many different choices which group to join or which people to trust.
Any kind of “instancing” is making the game worse.
Imagine if Poch Observatory Flashpoints had this system. Player groups would be roaming around for them instead of multiboxers. Yes you need a fleet to complete the content, but the loot is distributed fair and square to each pilot (to a much larger extent)
Imagine if you used your brain before throwing out ideas.
You would realize that what you say makes no sense. Multiboxers already get their fair share on each of their characters now and will get the same thing if your awful idea were implemented as well. Distribution of loot to each pilot in the fleet is not what causes multiboxers to do that content instead of groups of players. Your idea makes no difference.
Not a lot of people go to Pochven, which is a shame, but part of the reason is how contrived the space is. No local, hostile gate and station guns by default, and warp bubbles. As a side note, warp bubbles as a feature is probably the biggest deterrent to fleet pvp and capital escalations. One bubble can prevent hundreds of billions worth of ships of retreating. So FCs rarely commit particularly big stuff in space where warp bubbles can be deployed. So the irony is that warp bubbles was intended to increase destruction but theyve done the opposite with the way they are currently implemented. but i digress.
My point is that if FW BFs end up being run by multiboxers, then it will be more apparantly to everyone because first of all you have local, but also more people seem to be traveling through/live in FW space.
So Pochven being dominated by multiboxers have just made people shrug, but what happens when they come to FW/Low sec. Lets see
We aren’t going to reward players for warping into a site, letting multiboxers do all the work, then still getting rewarded for landing a single shot on whatever NPC we are trying to kill…
Im not sure why some people seem to have trouble understanding when the loot drops as items it is a pita to distribute it among multiple players .
This pita reduces demand for the content from fleets that consist of multiple players
However there is a chance that a type of fleets for BFs rise, where people who join recieve a salary, like 150M and the FC reserves all the loot. But lets see
In know why you are not sure. You are a severe case of Dunning Kruger. But don’t worry, it can be cured by stopping to vomit really bad ideas into the forum and just playing the game, gaining more experience over time.
Loot drop is the best reward system the game has. It forces player interaction. It makes the players responsible to ensure control over the field, defending the loot from hostiles. It forces groups to debate or compete for the better loot sharing system. Worse systems will cost the group players and loyalty, good systems will make the group attractive for new players, enabling it to grow. Greedy CEOs that demand too high taxes will find players leaving or face internal conflicts at some point.
All things that make the game enjoyable and interesting. And all things you simply don’t understand anything about.
And btw, full-loot-rewards are also the best tool against massmultiboxers, because if 10 real people jump on someone with 10 multibox ships, guess who will win and probably take the loot. Yeah, the real people. While at auto-pay systems the multiboxer just brings as many ships as he needs for maxium ISK return and can leave at the first sign of danger, all the money he made is still save, on any of his accounts.
Instanced wrecks seems to have huge potential. For example, new escalations or existing ones be modified so that overseers drop instanced wrecks. This would let groups of 5-10 players fight tanky dreads or even titans.
The best part is that everyone gets a loot roll (standard for escalations). Players can then discuss the overseer’s drops and decide whether to split the good items or not. The main overseer effects would still drop for everyone.
By the way, the responses so far haven’t been very constructive. Peace.
