Gun salute

You act as though you can’t already see that.

Please see the bingo card linked earlier

You’re the one who wants to make it more complicated.

You are not paying attention if thats what you believe

You don’t know how coding works if you truly think it’s less complicated. They would literally have to add in new physics to the game engine, new UI to aim the guns into empty space. People will complain about needing to know math to be able to aim it correctly, etc.

You are a gold mine for the bingo card?

“Will make the code complicated”

Your edit confirms you are not paying attention. But thats ok, the thread is getting kind of long.

This was from earlier:

Potential details of the feature:

  • Press hotkey in combination with high power slot to activate, G by default. So for example G+F1
  • Fires the weapon at an upward angle
  • The distance of the shot is the falloff / flight range of the ammo used
  • There is 10% chance of a impact effect
  • Can’t auto-repeat
  • Not permitted in empire space

Impact on what? You’re firing into empty space…

I stand by what I’ve said.

There is small rock and debris floating around. Especially in EVE after years of PVP, PVE, strip mining etc..

So just shoot those…?

Or warp to zero on someone and broadside them with however many guns you have without requiring a target lock first. Which is exactly what this would get used for…

@malak Not at all

@quakegod they wont take any damage because they are not targeted?

If you are firing at a wreck or asteroid, you only need to press F1 to fire at it…why add in extra code and button presses?

@Malak_Starfire Is that a serious question?

You are the one who said it and wants to make it more complicated.

So you are not serious good to know

Deploy a mobile depot, everyone shoots it, problem solved…
