Downloading 150mb a day is not an insult to me.
Guess it’s just not an issue for me. And clearly your computer is not petfect if you can’t run Eve without uninstalling it every week! Weird how everyone else runs it smoothly.

With his awesome hdd and rig being all “god like” theres absolutely nothing i could possibly do.

Nope, ive never had to reinstall this game….never.
Ive run this game on many potato’s back in 08 when i started here. The game always ran flawlessly.
The only time i would reinstall…is if i were loading it on a new rig.
I think all that dust blowing out your a$$ is blocking up all the fans in your tower and its not getting any air to cool it. Might want to get that out of there.

The fact that CCP is repeatedly doing Daily Downloads is indeed a problem, especially when they constantly have to do a restart to fix something major that the previous download broke…
They aren’t fixing little bugs like someone else stated, they keep making little changes to the UI and in-game graphics in an attempt to justify their employment… Sadly the current Dev’s actually do more harm than good to the game and quite frankly, they seriously Can’t Code Properly…
It’s their game. For all we know, they’re doing old code cleanup. We don’t know and they don’t have to tell us. I don’t think people realize that we are not in control of this game.

Don’t know how long you’ve been here but this game has been losing players due to their programming ineptitude for a long time now… If they don’t start listening to their playerbase again, eventually this game will just be a handful of players with alts interacting with CCP’s super A.I. NPC’s..
As a paying customer I have the right to voice my opinion of this company and the game service I receive… I’m not going to debate this with you but I will answer your question…
Despite it’s many faults, Eve Online is still way better than any other game available in the same genre… In other words, they pretty much have no competition… In my opinion CCP knows this which basically explains the current state of the game…

It’s been over 20 years. This MMO has outlasted most others and you think this game is trouble.
It’s pretty cringe the non-programmers sitting around crying about how CCP has “bad programming” - like EvE Online is actually really complicated. Other games are simple and dumb, but CCP really has been quite innovative.

AFAIK, the current backend workload is focused on the Carbon engine and transferring the legacy game code to run on it: Carbon 1.0 - Rendering and Physics Mass Test | EVE Online
Version 1.0 launched just last August. Considering how big the code base is, I’m expecting that work is still in progress.

Well, we did get a bigger cursor. At least that’s something positive 
Most developers exhaust their current engine, and scrap the entire project - which is why we see version 2, 3, 4, etc. However, doing that disrupts the persistent environment. CCP has thus decided to migrate the entire server onto a new engine, which is an incredibly complex and difficult task. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a game company do this before. Regardless, it will ensure EvE Online has a future, and I am glad they invested their time in this critical process.

Well, my PC is not only perfect, but it is actually better then many of yours “professionals” in this thread, with all your opinions and rigs that have not much sense.
For example, calling “ssd+hdd” a “poor rig” just screams to me that you have zero experience or sense and knowledge about building PCs.
But that is “A OK” my forum dwellers- it is completely OK.
Also, to all of you “dat nevr hapned tu mi” crowd, I bet if I go to your post history I would find a post or five about something you never had to do.
