One of the first things you learn when you leave HS for the first time is that everyone is going to try and kill you.
I mean, even in HS people will do so if you let them.
For some reason you pretend like that this is ‘a different game’ to new players. As new player I knew that when I left HS I was in danger of getting caught by other players. A few weeks in I joined a NS corporation but even then I knew that anyone not blue would try to kill me.
Just letting new players coming aboard during the holiday events know that there is no mercy in null sec. Not sure why you have a problem with that. I honestly dont.
I expected to get ganked and I did. Just thought it would be from a more hardened group.
Anyway, the key take away for anybody reading this thread is to stay out of null sec. Anyone saying otherwise is coming to a gate camp near you.
The null sec filaments aren’t worth anything for sale. Just right click, trash.
That’s a good and helpful message. Why not just say that and cut all the nonsense you say around it?
What exactly are you complaining about here?
‘A more hardened group’?
You made this thread to vent at null sec players because you got killed by a bunch of people in mining ships rather than have dreads dropped on you by some ‘hardened group’?
They’re worth it for people who want an easy trip to null sec.
You apparently did not want to take a trip to null sec, but only learned that after you lost the Endurance.
Okay, you tried something and got nuked, and you’re bitter about it. You supposedly knew you were going to get blown up and you did. Yet you’re still bitter. You’ll say no no I expected it and I’m not upset, and then go on with posts like the above which shows just how raw you feel about it.
Just be aware that feeling burned is part of the design choice of EVE. They literally go out of their way to make sure circumstances exist where you’ll get burned. It’s up to YOU to avoid getting burned. Not Null corps. Not the game. Not CCP. YOU.
You’re trying to build a case to justify that it was someone else’s “poor behavior” here and not your own foolishness that got you nuked. But what you’re really angry about is the fact you did something foolish, knew it was foolish, did it anyway, got nuked and now want to take your frustration out on someone else.
Nobody but you knows you’re in an Expert AI ship. For all they know you have 500 million SP.
Freedom Consortium says “Fun GROUP. Make this your HOME.” Which means CONTACT THEM AND JOIN THEM. It doesn’t mean “Everyone is free to invade our space”.
As @Gerard_Amatin pointed out, you weren’t the only visitor in an Endurance. Killing random potential threats is what Nullsec does.
This forum is a rather pointless place to “warn new players”. You’re just here to try and re-direct your anger at your own poor choice onto someone else.
EVE is about learning to make smarter choices that end up with the results you want instead of the results you don’t want. Man up, accept your responsibility, realize that other players were simply and literally doing EVE right and you were doing it wrong. At least for your own goals, at any rate.
There are two types of ‘friendly’, and you appear to confuse the two.
Acting friendly, like a welcoming human being.
Not shooting your spaceship.
Shooting spaceships is all part of this game. People are only friendly of type 2 to people who are their allies and friends.
EVE is full of friendly people who will happily shoot you and tell you how you could improve to not get shot at. This corporation was friendly like 1.
You on the other hand appear to be the opposite, very unfriendly
and are somehow completely surprised and angry when PvP happens.
This is a spaceship shooting game, you’re supposed to shoot other spaceships. Why do you react in anger when your spaceship gets shot at by players who advertise that they will happily welcome anyone who is willing to join their group?
I think we’re slowly building a picture of why you get “attitude” even in help channels.
Basically you’re showing up as an entitled slow learner, who makes poor choices then blames the result of those choices on other people. You completely ignore rational good advice, patiently outlined for you, and keep exaggerating and spouting off rage about how you were mistreated and it “wasn’t your fault”.
There are multiple threads each Winter about people pulling off crazy shenanigans with Null filaments. For people who know how Null works and what sorts of things you can do there, they’re a wonderful fast surprise trip to an interesting area of the game.
You’re not someone who should be using them. You knew you weren’t someone who should be using them, yet you used them anyway. You paid the expected price and yet still want to rage and ■■■■■ about it. It’s Nulls fault, it’s Freedom’s fault, it’s CCP’s fault for providing people an option to choose.
You’re why coffee cups need “Warning: It’s HOT!” labels. You’re why TV dinners have instruction to place inside a 400 degree oven for 30 minutes and then remove but “CAREFUL! It’s HOT!”. You’re why children shouldn’t play with matches.
You’re essentially proving that you’re the cause of most of the “attitude” and problems you encounter.
Stop being your own worst enemy. Be your own best friend. EVE smarter.
Why is it always the „self righteous“, „I’m moral“, „pro-peace“ , or „no but really I’m OK with PvP trust me bro“ types that wind up being the most toxic, judgemental, vitriolic kind who throw out terms like „psycho“, „mongoloid“, „rapist“, etc.
Lol wow I guess I struck a real chord here with you. I guess you must exalt in making the lives other players miserable. And now you feel called out? I guess sorry not sorry?
There’s definitely a certain irony that between this thread and OPs other thread talking player toxicity that the most toxic behaviour is by him.
There’s roughly an endurance being lost every 5 minutes at the moment, yet we only have one person ranting about it on the forums, mind you since its not of zkill and OP clearly has an axe to grind about null-sec perhaps it never happened.
Yes, thanks, you’re alerting people that fire is hot, pain hurts, and shooting yourself in the foot is likely to cause an injury.
You’re one of the very few people that needs your warning. You could try posting it in Rookie Help, where it might actually do some good. But apparently you get “attitude” there. For some mysterious reason. Which, clearly, is the fault of the whole EVE community and not your own.
Once again, you feel a need to make unwise assumptions in order to justify your rants. I don’t Null-sec, because I’m not the sort of person who needs to set myself on fire to learn that fire hurts. And then complain that the matches didn’t come with a warning label. And frankly, matches shouldn’t be allowed at all, right? Because fire is so utterly dangerous it should be forbidden altogether.
Tools work well in the hands of people who know how to use them. For the invincibly ignorant, nothing can make them safe. You just have to hope the invisible hand of Darwin is still out there doing its’ job.
