High Sec Candidate

I am not going to mention names on the forums, especially not of the few people that have actually talked to me in game.

Multi Boxers and People that hunt bling ships within about 5 jumps of Jita.

This whole thread is full of troll. I am used to it. I have learned, over the years, not to take such things too seriously.

Like people that say that they are leaving the thread… but keep on going. Like the energizer bunny.

Dont forget to vote for someone.

OK I should say that “The real data ARE biased”.

The data from zkill is incomplete. Only CCP can provide complete data that will validate my opinion.
Of course I doubt CCP will be able to provide the data to disprove the theories about Lorelei Ierendi’s personal experience.

LOL. You’re starting to look like you cannot understand a thing you read either

What does the number of kills posted every day to zKill have to do with the failure rate of ganks? The only killmails relevant here are the ganking related ones, not the rest, be they 18K or a billion…

LOL. There are gankers that post neither kills nor losses, and gankers that post their kills but not their losses. But there is no ganker, absolutely none, that, if there was a kill, would post the loss but not the kill.

That is what allows you to know for a fact that when you see a loss to CONCORD, but not the corresponding kill, the gank failed. And also that there are many fail ganks that you’ll never notice on zKill and won’t know happened… unless you happened to be there and saw it yourself…

Oh no, I won’t, sorry. In cases like this, letting people make claims like the ones you make is so much funnier…

What the data shows is that your personal experience, from ganking 3 ships, it insufficient to form a correct view of the broader game reality and that you are proposing broad, sweeping changes, based on insufficient knowledge.

Erm… exactly my point. This is a number we cannot know.

I hope my posts make you laugh as much as your posts make me laugh.

Ok then.

  • How many ships would I have to gank in order to form a correct view of the gaming reality?

  • Would that need to be different ship types? Haulers? Miners? Mission Runners?

To what confidence level and confidence interval?

Confidence level will help determine the answer to that. Confidence interval will help with the second question.

ROFLMAO. You totally don’t get it. The point is you may have an idea of the failure rate of ganks at the point of shooting from the ones you may see on zKill that failed…

I, on the other hand, don’t care how much my posts make you laugh, only how much yours make me laugh.

You were the one that claimed that my experience was:

and so I assume that you had a

under consideration. So go for it.

Or did you just make your statement without thinking about these things?

EDIT: shame it happens now… but I have to go to bed. 7 posts to 500… you know you can do it!

I’m a scientist, so these things are pretty critical to answering your question. You asked it. I’m just trying to come up with an answer.

There is less than 5% confidence that 3 ganks involving 2 ventures and a barge is representative of the broader game experience. Exactly what level of reality that reflects is unknown, because the potential for error is so large given your experience. For example, you have 0 experience in ganking anything other than 3 mining ships. There is nothing in your personal experience that can be used to conclude that ganking is 100% success against haulers for example. Nothing. You just have no experience at all to concluide 100% chance of death, yet you have done.

However, sample sizes to be representative of understanding the full end-to-end of ganking, across different classes change significantly depending on how certain you want to be (hence my question).

That’s one of the reasons that the data already available through killmails is so valuable. It is a measure of what is actually happening and any of us can look at it. We don’t need to go get all of the experience ourselves, when we can look at the experience of others and analyse it.

Was your hauler alt at war with them? I just checked your alliance of this character and I can’t see the war?

As I said afterwards for all I know you could be. And nothing you said changes that. So your main was at war with them somehow, so what.

That is about the blue list, whether you are on it or not is neither here or there, they are.

No it does not, it can be negated very easily with a suicide point.

On the contrary I have much more of a clue than you as I just pointed out how easily a webber can be negated, you did not seem to know that. Oh looky someone telling me that they have more of an insight than I have, must be true as they said it on the internet, pathetic…

A number of years ago real scientists were held in high esteem, but with the crap science and corruption of the scientific method due to a global scam, saying that you are a scientist no longer means that you can be trusted to actually be doing science and the weight of anything you say can definitely not be trusted. I preferred how it was before, but that is just me.

They make it all about CODE not me, Jamal Bugaluf was involved in a freighter gank in Uedama yesterday, he was PL and is now Hard Knocks, he is not CODE.

I think that ganking is largely in a good position, the one issue I have is bumping which needs changing. There are a few minor niggles outside of that, but they I can live with, bumping I cannot and I think gameplay in terms of the solo hisec hauler is made so poor and imbalanced as they have no counter.

Can you at least back a BS MWD for freighters? This would get towards a greater chance of escaping the bump.

My issue is with bumping and not with CODE. They however always want to make it personal, as you have found out in this thread. And with that I will leave you to it, good luck on the vote.

PS. A couple of other issues to think about, the war dec changes, they need to make the aggressors war HQ vulnerable in the main TZ of the defender.

Another is that people in nullsec are calling for making structures easier to attack in terms of vulnerability timers, however in hisec structures are too weak and making them overall easier to attack in terms of this will have a very negative impact on hisec. I would like to see better weapons options for hisec structures and perhaps a different system to nullsec.

To give you an idea of how obsessive they are:

[07:37:08] Clu Ogeko > Mach 500MN MICROWARPDRIVE sitting on Juunigaishi gate in Uedama. Highlighted the character name, made me chuckle.

Stop trolling. Data has no biases. It is just data.

Sadly they don’t make me laugh - they me cry for how stupid humans can be, assuming lorelei is not just trolling.

Hi Lorelei, how is your campaign thread getting on?

By the way, if you ever feel you need a PA for in-game or forum communication matters, I would love to volunteer my exemplary services.

Natocha Daisy
PA to Lorelei lerendi

actually i’d be happy to PA for any hs candidate.

:star_struck:

When the OP first mentioned the chance of having 500 posts in their campaign thread, I thought they were crazy and it would never happen.

Turns out I was only half right.
Interesting discussion.

Really?
I am not a scientist so I don’t know these things.

I have experience. I am waiting for someone to come with their experience to add to my experience. My views are not set in stone.

The data out there are a selective sample.

Please do.

This appears to be the 500th post.

Well that is still better than nothing!

Actually not. Paradoxically, although my most viewed thread, and the most posted thread… it is the worst thread of my CSM career until now.

MWD is mid slot. Freighters do not have mid slots atm.

I found it out in every other thread, kind of, as well. Also in my attempts to communicate and ask questions in the in game channels. It is not like I have not tried to find things out, communicate and stuff.

Does that mean you are not going to post on my thread any more?

That is a whole other topic, with lots to be said. But people are not interested in talking about it here. I have tried high sec wars on both sides since the changes.

Honestly? Taking down structures in high sec appears to be harder to me now than before the changes. I guess it depends on how many people you have in your corps.
However I have found that small group war deccing has gotten tougher…

I’m not sure why the structures should be different in Null and High. That does not make any sense to me.

Skill injectors have a lot to answer for.

I am posting in my own thread.

The sample is biased…?
