High Sec Candidate

If you actually do it, I will be exceedingly grateful and include the numbers in my next CSM campaign thread.

As for actually calculating the stuff… I would need to learn at all at first how to do it. It sounds like you already understand that stuff.

Waiting for that tatu-tata.

I have said that a few times already.
It makes me wonder what is going to happen next year. Maybe I should try analyzing the campaign threads, the election voting and the number of posts.

And those of you that dedicated have already decided on who you are going to vote for.

Looking forward to the answers to that!

The ideas have changed over time.
From CSMX I abandoned the campaign to get more transparency with bans and disciplinary action, after people discussed it with me. “None of the above” really only took off after looking at election results. The ideas have changed over time, and some things have changed even over the course of this thread.

Of course… The ideas are only ideas. I really don’t think that any of them will influence what CCP does… but they are things I have been thinking about. Many people seem to be under the impression that the CSM can dictate policy and direction to the Devs.

The fact that some things have happened in the direction of things we have been talking about in my threads is probably more coincidence that CCP even noticing what happens in threads of someone that nearly made it onto the CSM a couple of times without any great block support.

I have opened a line of communication via EVE mail. Have to see if we can find time (Time Zones and so on). If we manage to get it done then it will definitely appear in the forums next year, and maybe on that blog I sometimes write things on.

Noone has to reveal any alts.

Please still take the trouble to vote for someone.

It would be nice if we could try and keep discussion of The New Halaima Code of Conduct to a minimum in my campaign thread.

Threads that start featuring that too much, tend to get even more sidetracked than my thread currently has been. Whatever The New Halaima Code of Conduct is, it has nothing directly to do with my running for the CSM, nor the things that I have been talking about in my opening post.

Thank you.

LOL. It was a joke… A JOKE…

I didn’t say I would have to reveal my alts, but rather reveal whether I’m someone else’s alt, as in someone in particular that would have run for the CSM already in the past and hence, by revealing my RL identity too, it would be possible to verify whether we’re the same or not…

Ok, well, what real life issue would cause me to orbit a gate? I can’t think of any situation in which orbiting a gate AFK is a reasonable course of action, nor can I think of any real life event which would cause me to do that. An earthquake perhaps? But then I would disconnect, so what would cause this phenomenon?

Noone has to reveal their real life identity either, except maybe to CCP in case one has managed to hide themselves from them.

The one thing is that if you have an alt that is more famous or well-known or whatever… then CCP might require you to run as them.
So you can assume that noone running for CSM has a more popular, well-known alt.

Kind of sad…

I shall. As you can see from my history, I am asking candidates about how they would protect the ecosystem of playstyles within New Eden. Unfortunately, it comes across that you only wish to better your own and refuse to listen to the counter arguments from other capsuleers who act differently to you - a position incongruous with an elected official who cannot be expected to know everything about New Eden.

I understand that you may feel that you have had negative experiences with other people impacting your life in a way that you did not intend but that is the very reason why many people are so engaged within New Eden.

I was honestly saddened to see how this has devolved seeing as you are the only candidate to my knowledge that has taken the time to join the minerbumping in game channel and post there - although, again, you didn’t stay to discuss your views after dropping off the link to this post which was yet another red flag.

I would be willing to discuss further but, apparently, Code agents - part of your purported constituency - “[have] nothing directly to do with my running for the CSM, nor the things that I have been talking about in my opening post”. It is sad when a someone running for office uses language that puts their own opinions above those of the people who they should be engaging with.

Even a highsec carebear, when serving on the CSM, should be willing to represent those who are not carebears. The CSM is not your personal platform to promote your ideas, but rather a forum for you to acknowledge the ideas of others with whom you disagree.

According to what my forum showed me, your post here was your first post in the forums.

During the CSM season I make it a point to actively not read the threads of other campaigns… unless I am “@” or someone draws my attention to specific issues there.

Erm last night? My graphics card crashed and afterwards I was back there again. But noone was talking.

I have been in the minerbumping channel a lot. I even blogged about my experiences there and in previous years even quoted it in the forums. The minerbumping channel is also not the place to discuss things about the campaign. That is why there is this forum thread.

I did not say that at all…
I said that the New Halaima Code of Conduct has no direct connection to my opening post. If you want to discuss about issues then feel free… The New Halaima Code of Conduct is not relevant to my campaign.

I am engaging with you. You are just deliberately misunderstanding what I have said.

I am willing to represent others.
I am not willing to entertain the same troll discussions again and again year after year.

If you would like to raise a serious point or ask a serious question about me… then I would be happy to engage with you. If you want to discuss orbitting gates with someone else that only just started posting in my thread… you could go and start your own thread to discuss about it.

Thank you.
But don’t forget to try and use as much of your vote as possible. You can vote for more than one candidate.

Doesn’t sound like EVE’s CSM is the right place for you.

If you think that, then do not vote for me!

The out of game communications are what help to keep me motivated!
