Too many AFK structures. Tethering as is, is too powerful. Structure defence modules in high sec are probably too weak compared to their other sec brothers, even when comparing the different forces that can be brought to the field as attackers.
That’s a pretty representative mix of how we find citadels are fit, right across highsec (we’ve scanned over half of all citadels in highsec now - see a list of some of the regions at the bottom that we have worked through, noting that Syndicate isn’t highsec of course).
From all of the hacking we’ve done, about 2/3 of citadels are fit with offensive modules, and generally missiles, neuts and webs. Every time someone mans a citadel when we attack it, fighters are also used, so there is a high percentage of citadels with fighters (which don’t show on a ship or cargo scan, so can’t be seen until someone launches them, so aren’t on this spreadsheet).
Despite being fit, very, very few people have any clue how to use their citadel defenses effectively.
No one cares about this. It’s not “your thread”. It’s a forum thread that you started for your campaign, but that’s over and people are free here to keep discussing things.
No one is forcing you to be here. If you want it to stop, then don’t read the thread. Don’t push for 750 posts in a thread you wanted people to stop posting in. Grow up a bit.
Or think based on different decision drivers. For example I tank my Skiff as I do not want to give an easy kill, others will use a Hulk and go for yield.
Quite a lot have been cleaned out.
When you say too powerful what do you actually mean, and I would focus on the issue of hisec.
That we agree on.
To try to plan to be there. Perhaps an option for the defender to go for broke and waive the timer if he wants to defend it and get it over with.
Scipio’s spreadsheet is in line with what I saw previously, but going forward some people are starting to work on the basis of the thing is dead anyway and we can’t defend it, so do it as cheaply as possible. I had that conversation with a number of my contacts, what happened in the past is not necessarily what is happening now. CCP set them up to require a fleet to defend them and the structure is a force multiplier, but that just does not work for most of the hisec players.
All you have to do is do the @ with an ISD name and ask them to close the thread. If you want to end this thread then do it. However it does give you an opportunity of having an exchange with multiple people and you could gain from this even if some people are of course looking to use this to have a dig at you. Scipio is one guy who is worth listening to, however over the last year I have found him to have become a bit bitter and aggressive. Many Eve players have become quite polarised and down right nasty against those that they deem as beneath them and that works on both sides. It is a pity.
I have largely given up exchanging with the majority of the HTFU people due to their bitterness and need to go all out with personal attacks, I have most of them blocked now. But I am not and will never go for the csm, so I can afford to do that.
Yes, I find the fact that gankers with -10 security status can just sit there tethered is rather stupid, but CCP does tend to go half cocked on so many things and are not detail orientated in terms of adjusting for different areas of space.
Well he is a bit bitter and I think I am on his block list, not that I care too much, but at least with him you get a fairly sensible and well put together thought process that can enable you to take into account their viewpoint. Black Pedro is well worth reading for his perspective, but the spin they put on things is rather intense most of the time. I am just so glad that CCP put in place this block function and the really excellent part is that it blocks their quotes.
PS the person you just replied to is on my block list.
Yes, I could see you have that attitude when you refused to answer questions about your campaign - that is why people didn’t vote for you. Not sure what the point of a vanity campaign is, I guess to just run and lose.
This is interesting, in that the OP does not see where he is in the wrong:
When I was in nullsec I got rather bored with people coming in just to kite and run, just like those players in the supers. They treated his contempt with their own contempt, but the OP just cannot see it and tries to make out that he is better than them when in fact he is not, talk about entitled. And this is the issue you have with Eve. There is too much contempt for each other. While I could appreciate the odd one or two coming into kite wonderfully well, after the 100th time it got boring as hell. Why do I have to play their game? I did not I ignored them or gave them the middle finger like these guys in the super did.
EDIT: My bad, I misrepresented the OP, I apologise.
