High Sec Combat Sites Don't Escalate For Anything Above Basic Frigates and Basic Destroyers

This is mostly targeting older players running C3 cruisers and killing everything in combat sites all over high sec.

The new players aren’t competitive because CCP gave established players even more toys to ruin the balance of the game (Look.. you all want fights but not fair fights, which is why wormhole PvP and low sec are dying and why nullsec is mostly a giant tea party.. because you’d have to be a fool to be uncloaked somewhere dangerous whilst someone with multiple characters scans for you in C3 cruisers and Astros).

Yes, if you persist at it you can get escalations in high sec.. but people in C3 cruisers should ■■■■ off to Low Sec where they belong. High sec escalations are too easy for older players to get. They can slug it out in T1 frigates and destroyers for rewards, if they want.

Solution: combat sites in high security areas go radio silent whenever navy vessels and above enter the site. Just basic frigates and destroyers should get escalations.. if an escalation pops. If three people hit one combat site and it escalates and they’re all in T1 frigates.. then the one with the most damage dealt to the NPCs wins the escalation.

Also, if you want newer players and rogues to hit nullsec and wormholes then you need to give them more ways into the cookie jar. New players are like fish in a barrel… really: warp bubbles, someone with a station in a wormhole along with his/her 16+ alts.

Why are you doing highsec combat sites?

To be frank, it’s not that hard to compete for anomalies while running around in a frigate or destroyer, with much older players. You can see where they are in the agency, and if there’s a vexor clearing them in your system, just move onto the next.

Far as I can tell, within a couple minutes of a site being completed, a new 1 appears in a nearby system so there shouldn’t really be a shortage of them unless you’re in caldari space.

I’d much prefer to not restrict people from escalations based on ship type. but perhaps it wouldn’t hurt to throw some more gated anoms around (which do have size restrictions)

The goal is to eliminate the control of established player bases on high sec and move them onto low sec. Cycle them out of easy pickings in high sec and force them to make content in low and even null.

A goal is to aid newer players into the game because low sec and wormholes are completely broken and are pay-to-win cesspits of sweats and tryhards. Flying a Gila in high sec for Abyss runs are hazardous, also.. because they will keep an account nearby just to watch you for opportunities to strike.

MInmatar space is watched and heavily exploited and after reset all level 2 Angel combat sites will soon escalate into low sec because all level 2 Angel combat sites are spawning in the fringes of high sec. If you think you’ve found an empty sector in Minmatar space it won’t be long before you’ll get someone lingering around permanently watching you.

Gallente space is easy but the gains are also significantly less.

Amarr space has barely ok-ish escalations that are easy to get if you’re ok risking low sec.

Because you’re mother prefers a stable man with a steady job.

Funny, older players I know only run Angel Refuges in hecates and quick stuff, unless they are looking to bait you into a fight. Did you die to an Orthrus by chance?
