Haha, I guess we hit the “Can and Should” issue, just because you can it doesn’t mean you should.
I’m now a mature gamer and I’m wondering why people even bother to fly freighters across high sec solo.
Having another look at freight ganking my opinion is that it is only the fault of the owner of the freighter if it gets ganked. My reasoning is that a Freighter is actually part of a fleet and should never ever be flown solo under any circumstance. Just because you can fly a freighter solo it does not mean that you should.
You’re better off hiring Black/Red frog which I view as a kind of insurance, I can get 50 Billion isk worth of goods delivered to my location for around 2 Billion isk. If I try to haul it myself it will be time consuming and i would most likely lose it all, so the 2 Bil isk insurance cost is good. Let the professionals within this game do their Job and support them as best you can by using their services.
The Frogs have obviously found a way to get things delivered without complaining or asking for any game mechanic changes since they seem very successful.
So yes, freighter ganking is easy only because freighter pilots make it that way. I hope you can see that when using specific methods to haul it won’t matter how many accounts some ganker has. Perhaps we need to give our money to professional hauliers instead of annoying ganksters.

I lost my freighter to this the other day and I can say for sure it wasn’t a permabump strategy. All those pilots were already red and It looked like a log-off trap to me - from my perspective it went like this:
- no reds in HS local when I initiated warp on the LS side
- 2-3 reds in HS local when I landed on the gate in LS
- 1 red on the gate after I initiated warp on the HS side
I’m not used to multiboxing and frequently screw up the webbing. In this case I forgot to warp the webber down from the perch so I took around ~4s to web the freighter after initiating warp and that was way too slow. Sadly, I wasn’t recording but I can at least point at something I can improve…

Use a tougher freighter. If your armor and shield skills are lacking, get them to level 5
