Combat exploration brings much fun and enjoyment for me. You can’t compare it to null grind. But I guess PvE is not for everyone.
I didnt think exploration was being counted as it was just HS
I enjoy it too, but the majority of these tasks appear to be the boredom of mining and missions.
All of those are exploration. Problem is that most of people think that exploration in EVE is only hacking cans.
Ah so if you scan it, its exploration?
I was lumping the first two in with missioning and general ratting really due to the same kind of outcome.
They seem a bit thin on the ground really.
What is it that makes HS explo thrilling for you?
Genuinely interested
You are trolling as that is not what I said and you have the cheek to link what I said which is min/max blitzing, reading and comprehension is hard, you just made yourself look like a truly idiotic troll.
It’s exploration as long as it revolves around the “probe scanner” window one way or another.
So with this definition AFK VNI in havens in NS is also exploration.
I guess doing the anoms is not exploration, but doing the escalation is.
The worth of doing anoms in HS is partly in the commander drop(like 5% of the time, and each has a 5% chacne to drop something), partly in the escalation (with much better possible loot).
I did not do it a lot, I gave it a shot and it seemed like it was not worth the time. Maybe I was wrong.
I can’t speak for the others, but I tried exploration with signatures (so no anoms) and it was fun for several reasons :
- you need to adapt to several ships : sleeper cache, ghost site, combat sites are very different
- you don’t stay in one place so gankers have a hard time catching you.
- a lot of competition can make it very interesting to fight other players.
random loot, no feeling of grinding and trying to min/max isk/h since you cant predict loot. I just chill doing few sites per day while at end of the day (or trip) you get much more isk than grinding best isk/h.
With exploration you don’t have feeling you need to play ‘x’ hours to get ‘y’ isk and that’s why I enjoy it most of PvE activities.
Yeah, I can agree though in HS my experience has been having to spend ages actually looking for one, then racing others to it, but not the same thrill as looking over your shoulder every 5 secs as you hack that can as quick and well as you cnn when looking in other places.
Then that may be something you should focus on.
Don’t use a double-plated nestor to scan signatures in HS.
We have been tracking our Invasion fleets and get on average 50 mill isk/hour, and this is with PUG groups and no eye for efficiency. Some groups are getting 100 mill isk/hour.
I would define that as good hisec content then.
it is ridiculously fun. I wont give specifics but my payout for today is probably going to be roughly 400 mill isk per person. This is not including site payouts. We had a very good day.
Very nice.
What doctrine do you use?
Armor. We have used shields but the access to Triglavian ships keeps me loving armor doctrines. Zarmaz so fun
I stream it almost every weekday on my Twitch channel if you want to check it out.
I will check it out, thanks, I am rather in love with the Trig ships too, they just look so damn good. I am certainly interested in running this content with others.
I use a Magnate with the cheapest fittings for agility and scan.
Except the Probe launcher and probes, obvs.
Well my fleets are open to the public. The in game channel Ash’s Lounge contains several good fits for people interested in running them. I will be doing them tomorrow almost for sure. I hope to see you there!
Does Rebel Kiwi fly with your group?
I call this “affordability tank”. You only have to do one good wormhole site to pay for a hundred of the bastards.
I don’t know who that is, so I am tempted to say no…
