High sec should be.. more safe

Security status is actually reduced rather fast for ganking in HiSec (especially if you pop eggs). The reason you see the same guys for months is because of the one single buff CCP ever gave to HiSec PvP: Security tags.

And that very few are willing to shoot at them, despite them being openly engageable without Concord interference.

Gankers do not have it easy in high sec, yes they can dock up and undock for a strike, however, this requires scouts, coordination and timing. You need a scout with safe security rating to find targets and provide a warp in, gankers need to get to target without getting shot along the way, and they need to land just in time. Arrive a few seconds to early and faction police wastes half your ganking fleet, arrive too late and your target is gone.

Aside from that, banning players with low security rating from high sec not only affects gankers. For example, I am -9 sec status, but I don’t do high sec pvp, my rating is from low sec pvp only (okay, I’ve done a couple of suicide ganks years ago…). However, to get from one low sec region to another (for example, for a larger pvp op) it’s sometimes necessary to pass through high sec, even if one sets their autopilot to avoid high sec. Disallowing low sec pirates from enterring high sec will kill a lot of mobility.

There are also lowsec pockets surrounded by highsec. Imagine getting trapped in one oft them…

Well, PvP is a sin, so you probably deserve to be locked out of HiSec for doing it at all.

“Too easy” as compared to what? What activities do you regularly do in EvE that are more difficult than suicide ganking? Why aren’t you asking the activities you do that are “too easy” to be made harder? Why is it only what other players do, but not what you do, that you think should be made harder?

Why there is nowhere in your post any mention to how you could learn to avoid being suicide ganked and how that would make suicide ganker lives harder already without having to change anything in the game? Why do you feel entitled to pretend the game should be made harder for others so it becomes easier for you, but show absolutely no interest in learning how to avoid being ganked in the first place?

Why? Because that would more closely resemble what happens in RL? Because that would make the game easier for you and that’s the only thing you care about?

You think all players are equal and all want to play an easy and dumb game? No. The complexity and depth of EvE are part of its beauty. Stop pretending it should be dumbed down just because you cannot appreciate it and are unable/unwilling to spend the time and effort that requires learning to play it properly in general, and avoid being ganked in particular.

Because even though suicide ganking does cause a security status loss that would eventually cause the ganker to be hunted by NPC faction police and be free to kill by other capsuleers, there are ways to repair that security status so it never drops to those levels.

Especially if you attack those peaceful carebears who just mine to produce combat spaceships, weapons of mass destruction or just haul those around and mind their own business. What have they done to anyone?

Actually thinking about it letting you pass through hi-sec in a pod with no ability to dock, sounds fair.

Long, long ago, there was no warp to 0, both autopilot and manual jump landed you in 15 km from gate (station too? don’t remember). Everybody had a bazillion BMs just to travel (relatively) safely, untill CCP decided enough is enough, introduced warp to 0 and removed all BMs around gates. One of the best things CCP ever did.

Maybe it’s time to add tether mechanics to NPC Stations.

Honestly I KNOW CCP will not fix this.

They have handed the game over to Null and signed its death warrant.

So basically I am just saying what they should do knowing perfectly well they wont do ■■■■.

Oh and again you cant get rid of code they stay docked up all the time until they are going to gank someone, so they have no risk.

If CCP is so biased in favor of Null, and Null has such great rewards, and is so much safer than HiSec…

… why don’t you whiners just move to Null?

They have citadels they stage from. How about you declare war and attack those? Too much risk?
