Highsec Ganking Dead - Are you happy now?

You didn’t even get the message, but act like a bulldog on amphetamine.

If you have experience to know how a bulldog on amphetamine acts then I pity you.

I am working at a vet, it’s a nice job, nothing to pity about. One just sees people doing horrible things to animals and of course gets some knowledge how different drugs work on dogs. :person_shrugging:

Would you like to discuss more personal matters or rather the question why all these pro-gankers calling other people “crybabies” complain at the boards like crybabies so much instead of blowing up all the nice targets all around? It’s not like the recent changes have made that much more complicated. I was in Teonosude yesterday, offering some boost and RR to a random mining fleet and we had nice content. I was invited to convos, people first thought I wanted to trick them, but in the end we had nice chats and I got a nice tip for my help. And no single ganker showed up despite multiple Orcas and a dozen Exhumers in the belt. Instead they are complaining how “ganking is dead”. Hilarious.

Who would that be?

I see these claims often, yet it isn’t something I personally see often.

Yeah you’ve said that before. I don’t think CCP are making decisions based on numbers of ventures killed though so I don’t know why you continue to think that’s a winning argument.

You are correct though that ganking is a very tiny portion of all destruction in EVE, so if it were removed (which I do not believe it should not be) the impact would be negligible.

Do you know what the figures would be with cyno alts excluded?

He’s not saying for having an opinion, he’s saying that people who tell people to stop playing EVE should be banned. Gankers tend to tell anyone who disagrees with them to leave and it does get tiresome to say the least.

This is what he’s talking about. Gankers trying to make people they don’t like leave the game.

@Scipio_Artelius Just see the ganking related topics. Full of mimimi.

I don’t even say that it should be (I don’t think CCP should enforce such a policy). I just say it would be the greatest nerf to ganking, because gankers seem to spend more time at the boards telling other people how EVE must be played and that they shall leave if they don’t like it than actually flying around ganking stuff.

Yes, I know what he said. People can have an opinion that the game isn’t for everyone and can share that opinion with those they think fit that position.

He wants them banned for doing so.

Same as what I wrote above.

No. I haven’t quantified it, just looked at it qualitatively. It could be done to a reasonably close value, but that isn’t something I have an interest in.

lol, no. Never said so, you just make this one up to have a little straw which you can accuse me with of having some kind of “bad agenda”. Maybe google the meaning of “would” vs “should”.

If someone tells someone that EVE is not for them, how is that not sharing their opinion?

Did I say this is not an opinion?

Do you struggle with key words or something?

You want them banned for sharing that opinion.

Do you struggle with reading?

I don’t want anyone get banned for anything.

Not, that’s not a logical way of looking at it. The numbers may be small, but the overall impact is large. As is the case with many things even in the real world.

The risk of ganking modifies behaviour in all manner of ways. It forces sensible people to fit tank and to not auto pilot or watch Netflix while mining. It is the reason I don’t leave Jita with 1bn worth of implants but instead do smaller loads. It is also why I fit inertial slabilisers, and so on. This sort of behaviour and fittings extends way beyond just those who are ganked. It extends to just about everyone in highsec. It would be a very different highsec if there was no ganking.

So to argue that the impact of the removal of ganking would be negligible is patent nonsense…and little more than a lie that anti gank people promulgate like propaganda in the hope that people will believe the lie if it is repeated often enough.

I can smell your desperation. Not able to read, not able to understand, not able to quote or make a point. Maybe forums are not for you.

So then you’ll have no problem proving the impact.

Does it? Have you got any proof of this beyond your own personal choices? You’re not exactly an experienced pilot so I’m sure you make a lot of weird choices but most of them won’t actually be needed.

By the way, I like how you think someone not watching Netflix while mining counts as a large impact on the game. That one made me actually laugh out loud.

According to your claims above it would be the exact same highsec except a few people might fit less tank. I don’t see how that is a large impact.

Here we go again. “I don’t agree therefore you’re talking nonsense!”. I can play that game too. You’re talking nonsense. You’re making up a massive impact where none exists so you can create a false narrative that inflates the importance of ganking to the game.

Oh, here we go…everyone else has to ‘prove’ stuff but you never do. Gotta love the way you maneuver yourself into that position…despite the fact that it is your claims that are being refuted, lol.

How about YOU prove your original assertion that if ganking were removed ‘the impact would be negligible’.

And, of course, you’ll use your usual get out of ’ I was just stating my opinion’. Never mind that your ‘opinion’ is most of the time actually stated as if fact. This whole charade is why I ( and others ) consider your entire ‘debating’ technique to be so dishonest.

Lol…gotta love the way you desperately padding out your killboard by jumping in at the tail end of any old passing fleet kill…often adding a piddling 64 DPS to the count…and after 4 years of no killboard whatever…suddenly makes you an experienced pilot.

I haven’t made any claims that require proof. I haven’t called for ganking to be removed or said that it’s any particular problem. You on the other hand are adamant that removing ganking would have a huge impact. OK, so prove it.

I’m flying in fleets, nothing “tail end” about it. I like how you used to scream “Oh everyone else has no killboard” and now you’re trying to criticize my kills because your previous argument no longer stands.

It’s extra funny since almost all of your “kills” are just you whoring on a structure. I understand that you are upset that you are terrible at EVE, but don’t take it out on me.

Oh, and I like that you’ve done that thing where you find one kill out of hundreds, look at the damage and then make a claim about what I “often” do. This again is something you do a lot, claiming a pattern from a single example usually presented with no context.

You stated that if ganking were removed ‘the impact would be negligible’. Your words.

Prove it ! Why are you asking me for proof when you are the one who made the claim ?

This is your usual twisting everything around method of arguing. You make an assertion…then if anyone disagrees you demand that they ‘prove it’…thus trying to remove the onus being on you to prove your original assertion.

This is why I say your ‘debating’ is dishonest.

Actually what I said was:
“You are correct though that ganking is a very tiny portion of all destruction in EVE, so if it were removed (which I do not believe it should not be) the impact would be negligible.”

I’m basing my statement on a claim you made.

You say this because you have no other arguments. You come in and dump your opinion then when anyone disputes it you insult them and call them dishonest. Go ahead, go look through your own posts and count up how many times you insult someone or try to drag the conversation off-topic onto their killboards or some other criticism of them as a person.

You’re the problem.
