HAHA this is good, remembers me the OST of Monkey Island 2 and I can even imagine a bunch of Orcas dancing in a conga line
its under the sea
the little mermaid song
edit:
the original is by a Jamaican crab
also relevant in EVE LOL
Yeah, just like a griefer coward to make excuses for not trying to find a fair fight.
@Altara_Zemara is truly a prodigy
We make an area safe and protect the ships that are mining,
We often mine in ganker sys for the hell of it, they fail. every time.
The makings of a great general IRL
There’s a Chinese guy with 20 accounts mining ice at Kamio right now, he mined all ice at Halaima in an hour I think.
Scanned the Orca, has 340k ehp, the Mackinaws are 60k fully fitted with Caldary Navy extenders and no damage control.
He landed a Freighter at the belt for taking the ice.
I talked to two miners, one having 1 account and the other having 2 accounts… they are PISSED to say the least… I am trying to make the understand their situation imposed on them by this Orca multiboxer.
They said this Chinese Orca multiboxer is taking all ice from both systems everyday around 11-13 Eve time, I am showing them fits, explaining the mathematics, CONCORD, etc.
3 ships to gank a 350K Orca within 10 seconds in a 0.7 system?
Would love to see the fits of these 3 ships each doing over 11k DPS each
Question: How many Safety ships does it take to gank an ORCA ?
Answer: One

Moral of the story is make sure your mining permit is upto date.
If only the game had some kind of way of officially initiating hostilities in order to address the lack of a balance of power like this…
Oh well. I guess the Chinabot will continue to mine out all the ice right after downtime because it has the “right” to choose how it “plays the game.”
It did, war decs
Never heard of them.
Eve needs some twisted fire-starters.
The Orca wont go through… also running industrial core I could not bump it.
My idea was checking the small miners out and sowing some ideas in their minds, so they band up and at least gank the Mackinaws
Each machinaw has 60k ehp, so they would have to do 2k dps each to gank it in 10 seconds. Not likely 3 miners will be able to do that with no combat skills, the most deadly weapon they can use being a mining laser. Even if they could fly t1 fitted cats would take 16 of them.
Miner firing a gun
Gankers are lazy.
They only operate in certain systems. Note on zkill where the kills happen, and whether they happen in an ore belt or on a gate.
Then avoid those systems where they are killed in ore belts.
Add the gankers corps as contacts with low standings.
Keep local chat open at all times, out in its own window and set to compact members list so you can (hopefully) fit everyone in the system on it.
If you see a big block of low standings dudes, dock up until they are no longer in system.
Fitting the ship doesn’t really matter, it’s paying attention to local chat that will keep you alive more than anything.
Industrial cores are a bit of a curse, keeping you pinned in place until the cycle ends and by that time you’ll be warp jammed by the entire gank squad (or just dead).
So fit for max tank just in case you can’t get out of the belt quickly after you spot the squad appear in local chat.
Damage control, bulkhead in lows. 3 tech 2 hull HP rigs. Shield hardeners in mid slots. When under attack, overheat. You should get about 600,000+ EHP.
But, as I said before, not being there at all is the best way to survive.
um…
Situational awareness is the key, but max tank is the last resort fallback
