Well, yeah, I do know who Iām talking to here.
Why donāt you join the ganking side? Youāre still attached to this game, at least attached enough to come back here and post about it. Perhaps youād see things from a different perspective if you came around to do the āevilā ganking thing.
At the end of the day, and perhaps you guys forget this while youāre self-inserting your personal sense of self and morality into an online game character - it is still a game.
May I suggest that you shouldnāt get so hung up about morales and juxtapositions and about the meaning of good and evil? Because youāre cramming all this into a game, that at itās core, is just about blowing up spaceships. And also finding friends to blow up many spaceships together.
But hey - just my opinion.
With mad regards

, I do know who Iām talking to here
James is the boogey man

Why donāt you join the ganking side?

Only down side was getting the range right for max damage

getting the range right for max damage
0 at the gate. Then ākeep@rangeā for the tackled target set to 15km (Oracle), 13km for Zealot/Legion.

if my target planning is right
Donāt overcomplicate things. Just pre-overheat, lock and fire. Donāt dualbox. Planning only gets important once you coordinate with other guys, but for starters, use one ship and try to do that one job correctly and youāll get results.

Donāt overcomplicate things
No no but I meant if we had multiple ships we would set which targets we would go for , eg I would have 1st 3 targets the next ship would have the next set , thrashers type ships would team up in pairs and have same targets then e-war would work from the bottom . We had a way of marking this on the overview so no work needed once gank had landed.
Before we did this we wasted to much DPS and jamming
We called it the note pad trick and pretended it was super secret , of course the gankers needed to find out lol , itās even on the forums somewhere, a lovely bait about nothing.

and jamming
You do know that is dirty fighting , right?

dirty fighting
I know a guy who dropped a carrier on ventures for shits and giggles. I donāt think ganking happens in lowsec, but if it did that would be the peak of it.

I donāt think ganking happens in lowsec
Depends on the definition.
By the common EVE definition the term āgankingā means āsuicide gankingā aka you kill your target fast and then get killed by CONCORD in an inevitable response. Thats of course highsec exclusive, because it can only happen in HighSec by definition. Thats what most people will use here.
By the usual online-gaming definition, ganking just means gang-killing aka outnumbering and outgunning a target so hard, that it has no realistic chance of survival or even fighting back. That of course happens in all areas of EVE, itās just called āPvPā. EVE isnāt an arena shooter or has any concept of āfairnessā. Preparing the engagement in your favour is part of the tactical planning, the kill is just the final result.

ganking just means gang-killing
Rogue ganking
Often a flagged player in the non-Battleground world will find themselves the ganking victim of a surprise attack by a Rogue. Although all classes gank at all level differences, people take exceptional note of Rogues due to their stealth, high damage output and escape abilities.
yes it does

At the end of the day, and perhaps you guys forget this while youāre self-inserting your personal sense of self and morality into an online game character - it is still a game.
This is you doing the self same thing you are accusing Githany of doing. You have decided that anyone who opposes you is doing so because they want to impose their morals on gankers in a game. Tut tutā¦, wrongā¦
Actually they do, you daft bat
Still emotional over your panicked edit I see.
That is as stupid as people accusing your lot of blowing up ships because you are all psychopaths, I bet you canāt even see the delicious irony in that?

You have decided that anyone who opposes you is doing so because they want to impose their morals on gankers. Tut tutā¦, wrongā¦
I donāt think such behaviour is controversial. It is shared by almost all of humanity.
Someone who believes he is right/good (ethics/morality) is surely bound to regard as not so anybody whose position he regards as otherwise.
You cannot impose beliefs upon others. You can compel them to act in a different way - if you have the power or authority - but ethical or moral positions, as ideas, simply cannot be adopted by compulsion.
So, what is it that rabidly vociferous anti-gankers are actually doing? They are setting out their position. No harm in that. Gankers are doing the same. No harm in that, either. In other words, it is a not-thing.
I agree with you, Dracvlad. If people on either side of these arguments believe that itās possible to impose an ethical or moral stance upon others - they are wrong.
Nicely put, still you went off on a tangent, though I do admit that I should have made it clear by including in my sentence in a game so let me change that sentence:

You have decided that anyone who opposes you is doing so because they want to impose their morals on gankers in a game. Tut tutā¦, wrongā¦
I am going to edit my first post to include that missing part.

You have decided that anyone who opposes you is doing so because they want to impose their morals on gankers in a game.
There is post after post after post clearly showing that they do.

that they do
We did tell him , but he is likeā¦
Me, no, Githany, no, Eskati, no, Pappy, no, Bigbud, no, Concise, no, Codename, no, Thotamon, no.
I donāt know a single AG player that does, so nope!
But it does explain why you chaps get so salty and nasty about us opposing you, one learns something new every day!
Maybe Asteron did, but I have no idea what he was thinking half the timeā¦, he thought I was too controversial, obnoxious and aggressive because of the way I talked back to gankers on the forum, I only say that as it was amusing. He did say that to me, so not an issue mentioning it here, and it in no way detracts from my thinking what a great guy he was. Shame he is not playingā¦
