Just like in real-life! Criminals playing tag with police. I’ve said it before and saying it again.
We are just better at the game. More cunning, more everything.

ganking ain’t your run-of-the-mill PvP. It’s sneaky, it’s underhanded, and it’s all about bending the rules to get what you want.

Exactly! That’s what the outlaw life in New Eden is all about!
Sir. You’ve got it! This is what makes in fun. And fun is what we want from a video game right?
It’s also the the aspect that creates one of the top content for us players.

And tbh.
Everyone in all aspects of Eve pvp bend the rules. Like i listed. Market, mining… Whatever it is.
Well not everyone but those who play play the game instead of drift with it not taking control of their gameplay. Thus market tycoons for example are trillionaires.

And i 50-80% agree.

Role-playing pirate that spits on citizens of New-Eden is fine.
Out of character being legit bully bad person and manifesting it in a video game isn’t fine.
But this applies to everyone, anti-gank unit, gankers, miners. Everyone.
For some reason our community just likes to combine the two: gankers = assholes.

There are plenty of gankers with some actual agenda behind it, targeting someone or something in aims of creating content aka political means. Not ‘just because’ i can.
To add: There are others than just Aiko and Safety. or CODE.

Just do it. I recently saw HigSecGuardians several times in Uedama keeping the trade route clear for hours, having multiple RR-ships on the gates. Local looked all red 'n blue to me. No ship ganked while I was there, so it seems to work.

Gankers and anti-gankers playing together to create the criminals vs police content for all of us.

We should just somehow get rid of the misunderstandings that goes with ganking.
And we should get rid of the toxicity but that’s never going to happen.

I’ve always seen “the problem” being players enabling ganking to be that fun and profitable.
If there was no auto-piloting shuttles with 500.000.000 ISK in their cargo or freighters with 50 billion ISK loads on them and miners who actually use contacts, local, align and aren’t afk there would be no ganking.

I believe the absoulute best anti-gank measure the gank opposing players can take is to strike at the root cause and educate players. There isn’t any other way.

There are RIOT, Wrecking Machine, Blackflag… To name a few.
There are alliances that gank their own members even.
There are so many gankers that do it for some actual meaning behind it and to achieve something bigger than just tears.

All these players who oppose ganking just feed the fire with everything they say and do.
What is exactly what these players want. And they just keep winning and winning.

This! Can’t emphasis enough.
The structure/wardeccing mechanics aren’t optimal in it’s current state. Not delving into reasons we probably all know.

I’m very hard trying to be on our, players side.
Understand all parties and see the pov of each.

This will side track badly but f it:
This famous “content” is what matters me the most, because without or without undersranding what it actually is in Eve-Online, players end up grinding pve that only goes so far and end up burning out and or quitting.

Eve is so weird game. There are no winners. Gank/anti-gank will never stop. This game is a goddamn life simulator where we “live” in New-Eden that has criminals and enforcers. :sweat_smile:

Because there are people out there whose entire life is shattered, they can no longer cope with work, their wife leaves, the dog runs away, and the entire universe becomes a meaningless nihilistic void in which the only thing left to do is wander down the street shouting at the lamp posts…all because they lost 69 pence worth of mining barge.

That sounds a lot like using the ganker’s tactics against them. I’ve seen a lot of excessive force used by gankers in the past.

Use an Oracle, you can pop 3-4 cats before CONCORD even shows up. 2-3 in a Zealot/Absolution/Legion if you want more tank. Lasers are the perfect choice to cleanse evil with fire.

Yes I have an alt that’s max trained in in combat , your right I can get 3 or 4 cats if my target planning is right you have 4 of these and the gankers have to up their game

Only down side was getting the range right for max damage

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Catalysts sadly aren’t known for their tank, but surely you know that. I could probably take down a Cata in a cruiser, assuming it doesn’t have buddies.
