How to get more people to play eve

You’re not meant to be exempt from the attentions of others, every single activity in Eve puts you at risk from others; a PvP free entrance and exit to a PvE only area is not compatible with the game.

You try to sweettalk the fact that pvp can scan out the entrance/exit…if you were caugt at a gate or at a station with abyssial cargo we would have a totally different situation, but they can scan it out and ALREADY SIT THERE waiting for you…

THAT is the problem…again caught on a gate or a station…no problem at all…but the mere possibility pvp has to scan you out - not acceptable…

The problem is you, not the game.

And this is your answer for this problem?

Well…

Maybe you are the problem…

Have you tried alternatives to complaining?

A few possibilities:

  1. Popping a new abyssal trace while you’re still cloaked from exiting. Keep them waiting another 20 minutes. And another
  2. A cloaked friend ready to pounce on your agressors
  3. An ECM alt / friend to allow you to escape
  4. Doing abyssal sites in a deep safe where people aren’t likely to find it

No, it seems you just do one thing and that is complaining complaining complaining.

You mean the answer for not wanting pvp is…PVP?

Well…

How about no?

Number 1 and 4 do not involve PVP, unless you call any ‘interaction with players’ PVP.

Secondly, I believe I’ve said this before, but if you do not want interaction, find another game that does not have PVP at the basis?

Actually do something about botting.

Let’s face it, you have not shown that you understand the game and how it is played.

You make stupid suggestions without acknowledging the effects they would have on other people, or even that there will be effects outside of your target audience, furthermore you refuse to accept that they have the potential to change the entire landscape of the game.

Thinking that you’re right is normal, changing your thinking based on new information and knowledge is also normal.

Refusing to even considering changing your thinking based on new information and knowledge, because you’re right dammit, is arrogant; especially when you appear to have no knowledge in the first place.

Your suggestions are supported by very few, because they’re just plain wrongheaded and fail to show that you understand pretty much anything Eve related.

So yes you are the problem, and only you can fix it.

I certainly can’t suggest any way of fixing it that won’t get me banned or censured by CCP; beyond go and play something else before you go all Salvos on us.

All that pent up anger is not good for your health.

Again you are trying to cure the consequences and not to deal with the causes.
Today’s players do not want Eve as it is and that endangers CCP’s future
You and other veterans want them to learn to Eve as is and as was last xy years but TODAY GAMERS DO NOT WANT IT, so CCP and all current community must adopt or Eve will perish.

Should EVE cater to today’s average gamer, or today’s (possible) EVE players?

To be honest, I think there are enough games catering to any aspect todays gamers want, so keep EVE as something that caters to EVE players and possible new players looking for an experience like that.

This has been the case since 2003, very few wanted to play a game like it and the doom of CCP was proclaimed loudly then too; despite which, here we are

A product that is profitable despite only appealing to a few is known as a niche product, Eve is one example of many that spans every industry that you can think of.

You and other veterans want them to learn to Eve as is and as was last xy years

If you don’t want to learn how to play a game or the rules of a game, you find another game.

It’s like trying out for a football team and demanding that they change the way the game is played, because you don’t want to learn how to play the way they do.

but TODAY GAMERS DO NOT WANT IT,

They have a multitude of alternatives, Eve has very few, if any.

CCP and all current community must adopt or Eve will perish.

2003 called, it wants its tagline back.

Eve Online, a game that has been dying so long that it’s a shambling wreck feeding on the tears and corpses of the unwise.

Tsk. Learn what an ad hominem is first. Were you a new player when killed in a newbie system or were you a veteran hiding in a newbie system? And where is the quote I defend bot farms. You make a lots of ■■■■■■■■ statements but calls me the troll.

When asked to provide topical relevance, simply repeating your same question a second and third time with slightly different words accomplishes nothing.

Since trolls generally have short attention spans, I’ll recap for you:

  • One person said griefing in rookie systems happens
  • A second person said ‘Prove it’
  • I provided an example of a griefer in rookie systems

To put in it extremely simple terms for you, what relevance does your question have to the discussion?

some sort of cognitive disorder i believe, its why i often dont bother to provide evidence as they say ‘‘falls on deaf ears’’

You know what guys,

I used to be a believer that subscription model was the way to keep going with this game.

But I realize now that it isn’t.

Simply because, I would gladly throw RL cash for Isk (possibly even more than a sub’s worth every month…) to the game for my spaceship pvp fix, if only it allowed me to use all of its available functions to have fun in and not be so restricted.

I realized today as an alpha, that this really wasn’t the case.

Truth is, like many people, I haven’t the time anymore to grind the isk needed to sustain destroying stuff ingame.

So Im out.

A Full F2P model should be the way forward, but it wont likely happen anytime soon, with all the rampant l33t veteran nerdage going on and their love for all their “hard-earned” pixels …

Game is already full F2P for ages, you can play without paying a penny. Everything is obtainable ingame and you can spend as much money on it as you want. If that’s not a full F2P model, I don’t know what is.

No it isnt,

I still cant fit a Hyperion with T2 guns, nor fly anything above.

Plus a plethora of other stuff I dont have access to as F2P.

You’re confusing F2P with Alpha. You can become Omega without paying, by using plex.
Likewise, you can pay a lot of real money to get daily Alpha injectors for a max Alpha account, without becoming Omega.

FFS stop misinterpreting what I said deliberately you time-wasting sycophant.
You perfectly understood what I said.

Im saying Alphas should not exist.

Game should give you FULL ACCESS to EVERYTHING, for free.

And you should only spend RL cash for things to burn ingame according to your gameplay needs.

Free game should not mean restricted access of things to use inside it.
