But if you don’t play the way they want CCP will punish you for it.
See this, people? This is primo, high-quality, A-game bait. This is how you bait when you want to get inducted into the hall of fame.
@tutucox_Khamsi post the pic.
There he is!!! My little doggie is back. This guy follows me around and makes what he thinks are witty replies wherever I post. Apparently he is fascinated by everything I say.
I have another little Eve forum doggie who also follows me around. I’m sure he will show up here very soon.
Who are you? And why do you think a frequently seen face on the forums is ‘following you around’ when they respond to you a couple times?
If it’s raining outside, do you also think the clouds are targeting you specifically?
There’s a lot of focus on new players, but it’s the vets that are leaving from what I’m seeing.
Woof!
I skipped a few hundred posts. How many additional players did we got in ?
2 but we lost 12 so net gain
With the Mac testing the other day I had noticed 20k+ logged in.
Could this be the indication that there are many Mac savvy players wanting to play Eve Online?
I don’t think Mac users are big PvP fans in general, so I’m not sure that they’re going to last. Only one way to find out, I guess. Time for a Macageddon!
Well someone needs to supply information to avoid being blown the hell up.
I’m using Windows XP like a real gamer, so I’m excused.
Good things come to those who wait.
To be honest… I think new (casual) players try alpha first and then come over to the forum as first problems arise. They get a sniff of toxic here and either leave (majority) or get the kick and give it a try. The later then split when first pvp engagements are lost or roaming through endless and empty null frustrates them… Or a new game is launched with brighter colors
Just my 2 cents
I love that I get this reference.
But back on the topic at hand:
None of the guys I played with in my early days played because it was easy. We played because it was hard and a challenge and had to be figured out and things mattered. If I screwed a corp over with my main, that was it, I was a corp screwer forever.
These days?
I had a 2 day old JF pilot just because I could, a long time ago.
To be clear, I’m not advocating for HTFU. There were definitely a lot of things in Eve that were badly broken and needed fixed. But, the answer here might be the counter-intuitive answer of, instead of making things easy and quick, making them complex and require a stronger commitment again, with maybe a small dash of let the lower end stuff, like frig, dessie and maybe even T1 cruiser stuff remain ‘easy enough’ to get into.
