Yep. That’s only part of the slew of problems CCP has been having regarding player satisfaction.
Yep, Improved Communication is another thing CCP has been having problems with.
They don’t even post in their own forum for Pete’s sake!
For bitching there needs to be something to biotch about. Yes, it’s easy to find something to biotch about but I disagree with you on that. I seriously doubt the majority of EVE players are professional moaners. I’m not, are you? How many players do you know who constantly biotch? I doubt many corporations love a member who constantly biotches. No one wants to hear someone constantly complain.
CCP is giving material to biotch about on a weekly basis. They should stop the leaks and improve. If they prefer to rake money hand over fists rather than improving then it’s on them, not on the players.
Neither is Omega, I answered you above how to make dank ISK as a alpha. But you will not read it as you want CCP to do whatever you feel is right. Try and enjoy the game how it is.
Yet you keep coming back in the knowledge it ended thinking it did not end. I can’t help you there; you will have to help yourself.
The official forums are on reddit. This is more like the insane asylum, where they keep teh worst cases. You and me still arguing here says enough about the both of us.
I would change this statement this way:
Provide opportunity to players to obtain skill points to speed up training.
for example possibility for abyss grounds drop some skill jars for winners, make low % possibility to drop skill jars in burner missions, and so on. Not shorten time bluntly, but create opportunity to earn skill points, would make the game much more interesting and give a reason to players ( especially new players ) to log in.
Now they know that they flip a skill and they can log back in 2 weeks, when new capabilities will unlock
log in rewards, especially the way they are implemented now is TRASH! in fact it is more of an annoyance than it is a reward.
good reward would be a way to earn skill points through challenging missions, and coop play.
I wish Eve had an easy mechanic for new players to group up and do fleet missions of harder difficulty and get premium rewards like skill jars, and green items - THAT would make newbies excited. ( and i would make the jars droppable for PvP )
Please, do go to rookie help channel and ask how much time it will take them to save for an injector, even for alpha one.
I am not talking about just speeding up training, i am talking about having fun doing so.
What’s available to rookies?
mining? super boring, not gonna attract people to Eve throwing them into mining.
Missioning? gets boring very quickly, crappy T1 loot, long ISK grind for ships/equipment let alone injectors. ( keep in mind its not LvL4 missions they start with )
group play and cool loot, that’s what i think is attractive, that’s what i think needs to be delivered to rookies on day 1. ( BTW green loot doesn’t have to be super expensive, some entry level guns, some ammo, some small devices will do the job of making the game exciting and will not break the economy ). And NO, it is not the same getting it as loot, and getting them from LP store.
it is only a few logins that CCP has to entice a new player. First couple logins are the most important, game has to excite a rookie, or they quit for good.
Imagine a movie series that gets interesting only on season 3, that’s Eve, how many will last through first 2 seasons?
The bar is whatever the f the new player wants it to be… I see people roll new characters all the time, starting from scratch… hell CCP convict does it every week, starts with a fresh alpha alt and runs around doing things…
