My first paragraph was about the ship designs in this fantasy game. In my opinion, Gallente Federation are a mess of ugly.
Second paragraph, I spoke of real life spaceships where you quoted “The reality of spaceships is the esthetic design is unimportant.”. I even cited some examples.
Followed up with the fictional Borg ship design was more factual to space travel, unlike the Federation ships design to look sleek and appeal to the eye.
NASA would never waste their budget on such nonfunctional parts. So it sounds to me, when you quoted my line about real NASA ships, you must really love their design of the LEM and maybe the ISS. However you didn’t mention those in your reply. Instead you went on about how much you love EVE ships. But you didn’t quote any my opinions about the EVE ships from that first paragraph.
to be honest, i kind of ignore nasa designs for anything. I don’t think they really have any bearing on spaceships for eve since the technology is far superior. I would think that quite a bit of things would be different, from materials and composits, which would be i think called a material technology?
The other technology also i think would be pretty far removed from the things our current civilizational knowledge would have any impact on. Things like the ISS i also consider irrelevant, but only because that is a station and not a ship.
I did not mean to pass over those parts as a way to disregard your opinions. I simply think the differences would be too great for any real comparison.
I do appreciate your summery, I guess I assumed based on what i’ve seen especially in the last couple of weeks going on in these forums. I apologize foe that.
I also happen to think this comparison doesnt really match, since the borg would be more of like if an AI designed something for the most efficient. I think humans are too different. I can appreciate the efficiency and design, but I also think it is really bland.
I think there is opportunity in eve since our characters are in between a typical space faring human in science fiction, as well as robots in science fiction. I think the efficiency could match, while also providing for visual designs that would appeal more to an organic life form.
The Eagle isn’t as boxy as most of the Caldari ships. I mostly equate their designers to those of 1980’s Toyota and Volvo. Every now and then those car companies do surprise me. The Ferox looks more like it was designed to lift freight than to blow up ships. I like the Merlin but not the Bantam. For some reason, when I look at the Bantam, I think postal truck.
However there isn’t any Gallente Federation ships I can think of that made me say, “Whoa! Cool ship design.”. I know the gankers are in love with the Catalyst, but it looks like someone sawed the left wing off a WWII bomber.
I can take them both off your hands, however I know the prices are coming down on these in the coming days. So I am not willing to pay more than slightly above Jita buy. I can accept any location in contiguous high sec.
I was looking at Cenotaph today and at certain angle it looks like Tornado hit Ferox so hard that they melted all together. That’s why CCP decided to mix Minmaldari hull bonuses just an exception to make that thing excisted.
I’m not gone yet. Though I’m sure I will be since they are targeting my entire corp now. I’m having to tell my members to find a new corp lest they get banned simply for associating with me. Guess I’m not allowed to have friends from RL play this video game with me.

Paranoia is a skill that can’t be trained in the game but i guess they trained it in real life so high that they can’t function in any conversation that has someone they just dont like.

Now I’m not sure whether the original align was a bug, or CCP caved in to negative feedback and changed it. It was kind of funny. I liked the extra cargo space, that could have seen some interesting applications of the hull.
