you take probably the ugliest ship in eve online, and you take away almost all its cargo space!
But hey, it aligns faster and you don’t need a prop mod, so its better, right?

I see no mention of the Imicus in patch notes. ![]()
LOL
Now on to Op’s Topic, yea the “Campaign Bus” looks like something that basically useless.
The ugliest ship in the game is the Ferox…..but heck you can turn a Ferox into an almost 1000DPS beast…..and only 49m ISK !
Ive decided to just sell mine. I have no desire for it.
Any buyers?
last night i sold a few of these absolute piece of garbage ships in jita, buy orders are 250m, or were last night.
Far more than they are worth.
why do you do this, if you truly feel this way, why continue to interact with such a “horrid system”
no one was saying anything bad, and All agreed with you?
again, why do this?
You’ve never had to fly the Scythe hull, I see. I don’t think a single brain cell was involved in the design of that. It looks like something a hurricane assembled by accident.
At least a Ferox can be improved with a paint job. Can’t say the same about the Scythe.
Which flavor bus do you have?
Roden Campaign Bus.
Ill have a 2nd one in a few more days.
Devs are calling it a “cruiser class shuttle” in the latest YouTube dev chat about the election. So, it works as intended. It’s a collector’s item made to mark the event, so stats are irrelevant.
It is just my opinion about what “appears” as ugliest to me, most of the Federation ships are globular and asymmetrical in design which I find ugly. The T1 haulers look like vacuum cleaner attachments. The Minmatar ships are a good look, what I would expect from a sci-fi ship, assuming you don’t mind the rust. All the Amarrian ships look like sports cars. Meanwhile the Caldari ships are gaunt and boxy.
The reality of spaceships is the esthetic design is unimportant. There is no air resistance to slice through in space, spoilers, wings, and flaps are just for show. The space shuttle needed to look like a jet because it transitioned from space to landing on Earth. If the ship doesn’t require to enter the atmosphere it would look more like the LEM used by the Apollo astronauts.
The Borg cube and sphere made sense. There was no need to design a starship like the Enterprise. It was designed for human esthetics.
When i wss mining out of a bantam in my youth, i had one of my first interactions with another player about this very ship.
I had told him i was new and was saving up for the next best thing….which i had no idea what that was. He made a deal with me about the osprey and told me about its capabilities and such. I was very interested about it. He ended up ‘hiring” me to mine ore for him as payment for the osprey that i had earned. Its an eve memory ill never forget. Yes, its not a very attractive ship…but it will forever hold a place in my heart as it was the first ever deal i made in the game.
I mined out of that osprey for a pretty long while. Its a ship shunned by many, adored by a few.
Completely unrelated…

I disagree.
I am zoomed in and admiring various space ships when I am playing. This game can be beautiful if you’re not zoomed out and only playing as a f1 monkey or whatever it’s called these days.
Space ships can be beautiful and functional. Ignoring air resistance features, there’s that one episode of star trek voyaget where they are designing that one ship. tom paris or whatever, i forget the names, wanted to add visuals for a more aggressive look.
That got shot down for time constraints in that situation, but later on there are scenes where its either that same ship or another one that does have the parts giving it a more predatory visual. Humans like to prioritize visuals, cosmetics, whatever you want to call it, over practicality in a lot of situations through life.
I think the OP might have been in RP mode when they posted, but it does bring up an interesting situation. These ships are distinct to their empires, so is it normal people designing these ships within the constraints of the lore?
If it is normal people designing these ships, why? Capsuleers are far smarter and have far more experience with space than almost anyone in the empires. Capsuleers are the ones building all these ships. Where is the capsuleer agency in those designs?
I take from reading your reply to me completely, you just skimmed over mine?
Oh well…
Fly safe o7
No, i didn’t skim. I read it all and I understand it.
What is it with eve players thinking that disagreement means the person with a different opinion is stupid or didn’t read, or even comprehend what they did read?
I disagreed with you, broski. It’s ok. You like bland things, I don’t.
I disagree, again. I enjoy admiring good designs. I do not enjoy things I consider ugly.
I provided an example of why i disagree with this. did you read it?
this is a minimalist attitude, and while I respect it, i simply disagree with it. That’s it. that’s all there is to it. My response isnt an attack against you in any way.
Is that ok with you? Am i allowed to have a different opinion, and express so on a public forum?
You simply can’t equate the sleek beauty of an Eagle with the monstrosity that is a Ferox. The Eagle actually looks and feels like it is a fighting ship….whereas the Ferox has all the fighter appeal and look of a brick. And that is true even though my Ferox has 1000DPS and the Eagle ‘only’ 858DPS.
