Being physically strong in rl means nothing in EVE.
I disagree.
Itās kind of like a small woman who drives a large SUV and has road rage.
Confident, strong people are less likely to bully people via a keyboard.
On the other hand people that are weak and bullied in real life tend to take it out on people online when they get the chance.
Thought Iād share this update that @CCP_Okami posted on EVE Discord. Highlights related to this discussion: FW awoxāing, HS wardec exploits, HS minerals, little things (maybe?)
The game could use more Davy Jones type oddities.
And, itād be nice to come away from the interaction with more than a screenshot.
I would probably pin your hopes on the Fall expansion then. I havenāt seen the 2025 roadmap (was it even posted this year?), but if I had to guess itās going to be almost entirely comprised of null-sec content.
My guesses:
- Freelance Projects, front and center
- A frigate or cruiser for Deathless
- Angel Cartel carrier
- Carrier/fighter rebalance
- More sov upgrade modules
- Interim fixes for FW awoxing
There are lots of screenshots from fanfest for the roadmap. February was when they posted this yearās roadmap, but again the fanfest slides were more detailed.
Null-sec ā¦.. Null-sec.
Yes, theyāve told us this plenty of times. They spent a few years on Low, now they are on in Sov null, oh and wormholes are next.
Years on low-sec? No, maybe an expansionā¦
Uprising->Havoc, the focus was low sec. Equinox->Legion the focus was Sov null. Yes other areas of space were also touched, but the focus was on those areas. High sec was not first as it needs the least amount of foundational work and as others like to point out, already is profitable to live in. Not really sure why you want them to touch thatā¦
Disagree all you want. A small woman who drives a large suv with road rage, if sheās a competent driver (player) will probably out drive (out play) everyone near her from what Iāve seen on the road and in game.
Since when has that been a thing? Got any proof?
Again, proof?
Then when someone say they feel misquoted, just apologize and fix it.
When you are wrong and start argue, you are likely to get a lesson.
He doesnāt want a lesson or to learn. Heās a self-admitted bully by his own words with professing about his physical prowess which means nothing in EVE as we have many players who are not up to his physical standards and yet seem to surpass his ability to play at every turn.
Oh really⦠ā«««««ā denotes a low-sec feature. So other than FW Frontlines, Pirate Insurgencies and Zarzakh - there has been a null-sec buff in every expansion, ie: Navy dreadnoughts in Uprising, Lancer dreadnoughts in Viridian and the Angel titan and Corporation projects in Havoc. I didnāt see anything specific for high-sec or wormhole space in the list.
So yes, in two (2) expansions - there was a focus on low-sec with respect to Faction Warfare and Pirate Insurgencies.
Uprising | Aug 2022
⢠FW: Frontlines «««««
⢠Navy dreadnoughts, navy destroyers
⢠Evermarks, emblems, upwell hangars
Viridian | June 2023
⢠SKINR for structures
⢠Lancer dreadnoughts
⢠Graphics updates, daily opportunities
Havoc | Nov 2023
⢠Pirate insurgencies and Zarzakh «««««
⢠Ice refinery heist (is this still a thing?)
⢠Air Daily goals, opportunities
⢠Angel titan, Angel/Guristas battlecruisers/destroyers
⢠Corporation projects
Equinox, Revenant and Legion (3 expansions in a row) have all had a null-sec focus. Yes, a few Deathless ships were included in Revenant - but beyond that, itās been exclusively null-sec. And the next major expansion this year will almost certainly be null-sec again.
And just for the record, I think the low-sec content was long overdue. FW Frontlines and Pirate Insurgencies have been phenomenal for the game.
I think Zarzakh needs some fine-tuning to make it the āpirate havenā everyone was hoping for and a few more Deathless ships (frigate, cruiser, battleship) would really round out the faction - especially if we continue the āpiracyā theme with the weapons (maybe different pods that steal cargo and weapons that can temporarily disable a ship).
Grand Theft Marauder anyone?
Uprising: New navy ships are gotten exclusively through FW, this is a huge buff for low sec income via FW. Navy destroyers see wide use in FW itself and Dreads are used by both low and null.
Viridian: Lancers see wide use in Low sec too, in fact most kills made by them are in low sec.
Homefronts also came out and are straight up a high sec buff.
FW saw balance pass
Havoc: Yes, Ice heists are still a thing, they drop a lot of LP
Insurgencies also affect parts of hi sec and provides content along the fringes (some consider this a nerf to high sec sure) but allowed low sec to expand temporarily.
I will concede that Viridian was weak overall. But overall these expansions were low sec focused, and just like the next three, other areas of space were also touched.
Equinox: wormholers and low sec use metanox and Deluges/squalls, actually upwell haulers are used everywhere
FW and Insurgency balance passes
More Homefronts were added (3 man ones)
Revenant: Drifter content everywhere especially in high sec
Legion: we are about to see a high sec buff to pyerite and freelance is content everywhere especially once delivery is added.
We have to wait and see for more in Legion as we donāt know what Gold Rush or Engines of War entails.
Winter Expansion is already said to be the wormhole expansion, we donāt know if they will get 3 expansions too but we do know Drifter Tech will likely be involved.
Iān not saying those two expansions didnāt have a low-sec focus, but a lot of that stuff directly or indirectly impacted null-sec as well.
Yes, high-sec did get Homefronts. Since itās basically botted now Iām not sure if that was a blessing or a curse. Iām fine with the insurgencies (minor inconvenience- but it does shake things up a bit).
And yes, the new Upwell ships and modules benefited all regions (even though they accompanied a new null-sec feature).
If the Fall expansion is indeed wormhole-focused then thatās great - itās long overdue. Maybe high-sec can get a dedicated expansion in the spring of 2026 and we can focus on Zarzakh in fall of 2026.
Looks like the June 24th patch will be fixing little things.
It remains to see what the list comprises.
I think it will be good.
