How To Wardec Non-War-Eligible Corps

We regularly purge people once they hit more than a month offline, Runa. It’s just to keep the numbers reflective of actual players, rather than corp list where 50% are inactive like most corps seem to have.

They can always rejoin if they come back, the big ‘purges’ are just housekeeping.

They are afraid because an exceedingly overwhelming number of those players are either inactive or new.

ICANP is notorious for spamming every new player in starter systems and newbie systems invitations to join their corporation. They provide fake promises of corp support and this and that, but the goal of their corporation is to scoop up as many new players as possible and then leech off the taxes they unknowingly provide.

Those 1000 players aren’t actually useful in a war, because many are just running missions or ratting and mining here and there, all while paying taxes so people like Sabus can pocket it for himself. This is one of the major reasons why he’s on an eternal crusade to bring more ISK making opportunities to high sec, so that more of the newbros in his corp make more isk and thus, he gets to leech off more taxes.

He’s afraid of the wardecs because his entire plan revolves around inviting as many new players into his corp. If a new player sees the wardec, they might leave the corp or stop making isk, which means less leeched taxes for Sabus.

quick question for everyone hating on ICANP:
you say that Sabus and ICANP leadership scams people, takes advantage of them, etc.
my question is this: Do you have anything resembling proof? screenshots, videos, etc or are you just targeting ICANP because you have nothing better to do?

People have posted the evidence in other threads. Do a modicum of research so you don’t look like a sycophant

i dont need to research my own damn corp XD (i have by the way) and all i have seen in crying and complaining. you are the ones making the claims, where is your proof.
“google it” is not proof

in short post me some proof. stop sitting here crying and prove it. if you can post a verifiable source with actual evidence then please by all means do so. but dont sit here talking ■■■■ without proof then saying its on everyone else to find the proof. link it or its all unfounded hearsay

Sure thing Sabius

im Destiny, ICANP Officer. please provide us with some proof of your claims

Or even better, lets get back on topic

ICANP (and a few other corps) got a new wave of war decs today, first a war dec, then an instant active war. there was a topic posted about the changes to war dec mechanism, and i see a lot of people saying that THIS IS THE WAY IT USED TO BE. but it ISNT the way its SUPPOSED to be NOW. i dont give 2 shits about how it USED TO BE. i care about what is and what will be. So why is this not being added to exploit lists, why is WeR4 not facing consequences, and why is ccp not even responding to it?

for all you ICANP haters, this isnt a problem exclusive to ICANP, these guys are war deccing EVERYONE they can.

My friend, if everyone was inactive or spread around Eve running missions, we wouldn’t give a ■■■■ about the wars, would we?

We actually purge more than a month offline characters, as you can see by our numbers history on dotlan, and we stage and run fleets out of a single system, as you can see by our killboard, both green and red.

Having a big pile of players however doesn’t really help in wars. The wardecs are not two big front lines of players, they simply will dock and log if a big fleet shows up, and wait till our newer players go do something alone. Reinforcing their wardec HQ is fine, but it commits us to like half a month of war if we actually want to kill it, and it only costs like 400mil.

If you look at my zkill, you’ll see we dont’ just sit and carebear, we do run fleets, and we do train members in pvp. And realistically, it’s not the experienced players that are losing ships, and it’s not the pvp response fleets losing ships. It’s new players, and what can we say?

Hey, I know the website says 24 hours to start a war, but it’s actually zero hours. Hey, I know the website says they have to be in the wardec corp, but actually they’ll just fly up and switch corps and then tackle. Hey, I know it says ‘not war eligible’ but that can be changed at any moment by the people who want to wardec us. Hey, I know we talked about all the cool stuff that Eve has to offer, but right now you can’t do any of it without a defense fleet. Hey, I know we said you could play on one account, but actually you need to buy an alt to scout if there isn’t a fleet available.

It’s just farming new players. And yes, you could say “it’s your fault for recruiting new players in the first place” and “well casual corps that size don’t belong in this game, big corps are for null” and I suppose that’s as valid an opinion as any, but its frustrating to read the mechanics and build a corporation around the mechanics as they are explained, and then have it turn out to be exactly the opposite.

I get it, it’s fun to laugh at noobs getting frustrated, but honestly these are cool people, and a good community being destroyed here.

Yeah! Let’s talk about which non-war-eligible corps to target with this great technique.

what corp are you in?

CODE. Origin

rofl ofc you are XD

while im sure this is amusing to a lot of you, the fact is this is all over high sec and its been getting worse. ICANP is not the only victims here and even if we WERE, it still wouldnt excuse the fact that this is an exploit.

so why hasnt it been at least acknowledged?

No it is not. Not until CCP declares it so.

The last thread about this was unceremoniously closed by a moderator. The reason was: discussion of exploits. CCP doesn’t want this to be common knowledge because they are probably trying to fix it. But NOOO, you guys cannot give CCP time to patch the problem.

well ok since its perfectly legit and NOT AN EXPLOIT here:

“War Declarations are a risk that every player corporation has to face and they are under no circumstances considered harassment. Wars in general can be completely avoided by remaining in an NPC corporation.”

While I think the mechanic is flawed, it does not make it an exploit.

Just because you made some youtube video doesn’t mean CCP has declared it an “exploit”.
Though I didn’t really expect much from ICANP vultures.

EXCERPT FROM THE ARTICLE:
"When this option is set to reject structure transfers, any attempts to transfer an Upwell structure or customs office to the corporation will be declined automatically. Transfers of sovereignty structures within the corporations of an alliance are not affected by this setting.

This setting will default to the “reject structure transfers” state for all corporations on patch day."

Customs office is SPECIFICALLY named as being part of rejection of structures. the video shows a customs office gantry being used even though ICANP has ALL STRUCTURES REJECTED (also shown in video). 2+2=4 its an exploit

True Wanda, war declarations generally are not exploits, however I wonder about this particular mechanic for several reasons.

  1. The gantry, unlike the poco activation itself, doesn’t require roles, and doesn’t show up as a corp-owned structure to directors. This runs counter to CCP’s own statements, and the rest of the structures, making it up to the members (or spies), not the directors, whether the corp is at war.

  2. CCP’s documentation and the in-game notifications mention the 24 hour warmup, however this mechanic allows one to instantly activate the wardec, bypassing the timer with no warning.

IF it is truly working as intended, we would appreciate CCP updating their ingame and help materials to reflect the these actual, intentional mechanics. If it is not working as intended, we want CCP to step up and say “this is an exploitive mechanic, we are fixing it.”
