Everyone who was ever decced quit the game?
This is the guy responsible for new players.
These are the forums…you are in game scamming people…learn the difference…
So many toxic people, very sad
Nope.
You could be a genuine leader, organize your corp, and win the war by using superior numbers to overcome the skill/ISK disadvantage. You could be a genuine leader, organize your corp, and keep people out of the high-risk areas so that the aggressors move on to easier targets. You could turn this war into a learning experience, the kind of success that you build on and use to drive the corp forward.
But instead you’re a pathetic piece of **** who abandons his corp to go play other games the moment he’s asked to do anything but passively collect tax income. And so, with their EVE experience ruined by your dumpster fire of a corp, they quit.
I know. “Eve - play how you want - unless you dislike constant wars with untraceable enemies against people who aren’t even skilled up on T1 ships” lol
And let’s not forget the root cause of this war: your CEO’s idiotic forum posts. If he had learned how to STFU and not annoy everyone with his incessant demands for free ISK and less PvP nobody would care about your corp and the war probably wouldn’t be happening.
In all seriousness, create a chat channel. Call it ‘ICANP War Escape’ tell anyone who doesn’t want to be involved in the war to drop to an npc corp or form their own corp and they can join this new channel and still fleet up with you just as before.
They can do absolutely everything as before and be immune to decs.
This is probably what you should have done from the start. Spam chat invites instead of corp invites. If anyone wants to join the corp you can use this chat channel as a screening process.
OP may be a whiny biatch but still makes a valid point.
CCP don’t do attention to detail which is how anchoring of customs gantries to make a corp war eligible without any kind of director level approval was allowed to happen.
Yes, corps shouldn’t just randomly invite people in with zero vetting and leave themselves open to this kind of thing.
BUT this kind of thing shouldn’t exist.
CCP fix yo stupid.
And abusing an exploit on top of it, if you dislike that you must be evil !!!
Clearly there’s an mechanic that’s not working correctly.
You need roles to upgrade a POCO yet you don’t need roles to anchor a POCO Gantry. Could said gantry, if left in space without being upgraded, then be used as a war hq as an aggressor? It doesn’t show on the assets list (per above).
And the effect of the gantry being pulled down to create an “insta-war” without the 24 hour warm-up and this 24 hour being in the cooldown is odd. Also, re-deploy the gantry prior to the 24 hours expiring on the war, re-dec, and this creates a new 24 hour war. It’s not continuing the existing war.
Does the wardec fee get paid for each of these 24 hour instances of war? I imagine it does since it’s a new war being created with this non-exploit mechanic.
I suspect there is an issue in the coding that CCP is unable to currently correct when it comes to POCO gantries. Clearly, since upgrading POCOs and other anchored qualifying structures require corp roles the resolution should be to require roles to place/anchor a POCO gantry. I think it’s here that CCP is, for whatever reason, currently unable to make the correction in the coding.
I applaud the devils that realised how to take advantage of this issue to create war. One brilliant thing about the EVE Online community is that we, the players, often find ways to “break” the game. This often leads to changes being made.
Not against war, not against spais, not against being sneaky about driving player conflict. Not against more nefarious entities taking advantage of “wide-open mass recruitment” policies of some corps. This peculiarity when it comes to the wardec mechanics, however, seems broken.
I quit the game because all the griefing, scuffles, nonsense, wars, chaos, smacktalk, and idiocy slowly got nerfed into a calm state of logic.
It’s like single player monopoly now… and for the life of me I can’t see the appeal.
Of course there is a necessary disclaimer: this is what he should have done from the start, if his goal was to make a legitimate highsec cooperative PvE group. If, as is reality, his goal was to funnel the corp tax from hundreds of members into his personal wallet then a chat channel doesn’t work.
I must admit to loathing the OP and the CEO of this corp.
However, the gantry mechanic is borked and needs to be fixed.
CCP should fix this.
Pretty much.
All icanp members could be immune to decs anytime they want and still have all the interaction they want with the rest of icanp’s fleets and resources.
So yet ANOTHER whiny icamp “boo hoo we want it all and none of the bad you guys are mean boooooo hoooooooooooo” thread?
Awesome. You’re getting what you deserve. Honestly, I love this. You deserve it cos you’re whiny children and your tears make me feel glad. Deep inside glad.
Also, this is YET ANOTHER thread opened after exactly the same thing was just closed. I hope you guys not only continue reaping what you have sown but you also finally get banned from here for repeatedly re-opening closed threads as per the rules here.
Lastly: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA!!!
EDIT: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

CCP should fix this.
I believe we agree on this
Calling other people toxic is the current meta of entitled players and generation instant gratification across mmos. And yes, I’ve read a thread or two of yours. Seems to fit.
Being away from the game for some years I’m still not up to date. So I had to look up ICANP. More than 1000 players? What the hell are you running from? Regardless of skillpoints or T1 ships, you sholdn’t even remotely be afraid from wardecs.
Is this not the most fun we all had in a long time. ?
It’s a game.
He just dumped 700 players from the roster so who knows how many of that 1000 left are real…
