LOL. You guys are a hoot.

I believe posts like this destroys eve…
You should get all your real life friends to join EVE
helping you fight the good fight!
Yeah, I’ve tried. Eve isn’t for everyone.
Why do you respond to my post as if I was talking to you?
It’s the second time you’re doing that.
To be fair, it’s kind of hard to tell when you don’t quote the person you’re responding to, but you’re replying to the post immediately above; to me it looks like you’re responding to the OP. I think it’s a consequence of the way the forum displays that information. Here I’ve directly replied to you, but since your post is right above this one it doesn’t explicitly point out that it’s a direct reply to your post.
The forum will send a notification about it though (maybe requires to be subscribed to the thread though) so that way it can be seen whether the next post is a reply to the previous post or the thread in general (but even then only visible to the previous poster).
If you click reply button at the bottom of the thread then you will reply to the thread (which is also shown above the reply box what you reply to exactly) while if you click the reply button at the right side under the post but not the bottom of the thread then you will reply to the previous post (which will be shown above the reply box where you type the message).
There’s one detail to sort out with using bubbles (even ship-based only ones) in losec:
How to you handle aggression flags?
Say you have a HIC with its bubble up positioned to drag ships past a gate leading back into hisec. A ship gets caught in the bubble and lands somewhere they didn’t intend. By any reckoning, this is an aggressive act, so the HIC should get suspect flagged for aggression just like nay other ship in losec. But when exactly does that flag apply? When the victim warps, or when the victim lands?
Now imagine a similar situation with a 'Dictor having dropped a bubble in the same kind of drag position, only this time, before the victim warps or lands, the 'Dictor jumps back into hisec. Can the 'dictor be flagged for an action in one system while in a different system? And if the 'Dictor is in hisec…does it get CONCORDOKEN, or just a suspect flag?
I’m not saying “no” to the idea in general (I’m kinda “meh” on the idea, don’t love it, don’t hate it), but if it were to be implemented, these details would need to be sorted out.
New Eden certainly felt a lot bigger pre-Warp to Zero.
Maybe you should quote what you’re responding to then, since the standard assumption is you’re responding to the previous otherwise.
I’d say as soon as the HIC activates its module.
I’d go with being flagged as soon as it drops a bubble, and yes CONCORDED if it jumps to high sec.
Nah, this is exactly the kind of questions and conversation we should be having in this thread. Thank you for your post, questions, and time spent considering this idea.
