I gave EVE a try --cannot recommend to new players

Soltice,
why do I have an issue with this… what part of “brand new player doing tutorial #2” just screams out “You should have known better” to you?

No, it wasn’t.
You seem to be disagreeing with the rules of the game.

You’re just taking this personally, for some really weird reason.
You’re not even considering that the guy who podded you likely didn’t even know you’re a noob.
You just sat there. He shot you. You shouldn’t have been there. End of story.

Have you ever actually given this a thought?

once you leave the rookie system areas, then you are PRIME meat. and WE cannot tell who is or who isn’t a new player once you are out of the rookie systems. We can’t see who is or who isn’t a alpha/omega either…

how you react afterwards is what makes a difference.

This guy is totally Balos.

Solstice,
okay… so give me a ‘good’ reason why someone should pod-kill a brand new player doing the tutorial… this should be entertaining…

Geo,
and who said I left the rookie system area?

What you should have done is report to CCP that you were griefed in the rookie area. and let them deal with it.

As I’ve said, he likely didn’t know that you’re a new player.
How the ■■■■ would I know why anyone would shoot a new player specifically?
Do you really believe CCP does not care, or doesn’t know, when actually significant newbie griefing happens?

You know who called it first.

And a brand new player is supposed to know this -how-?

How does the BDSM client know that he’s going to feel pain?

And what exactly is a ‘Balos’?

Simple, you have an NPC corp that you can chat with, and you should have had a rookie chat to talk with as well… you could have asked about being killed on day 2 in a rookie system, someone would have told you that was illegal in game terms and tell you what to do about it.

Solstice,
how does hitting someone who you don’t know from adam who has just arrived at a BDSM club equate to what you are seeing as ‘reasonable’?

Geo,
and does the -GAME- actually instruct you on how to do a rookie chat with an NPC corp as a new player? and if the -GAME- is putting an active warzone in the middle of a rookie system, how are you supposed to know to report such actions?

Nononononono.
It’s about “how does the BDSM client know he’s going to be in pain?”.
At some point the BDSM client has heard about people offering pain for money.

A BDSM client, who doesn’t know that he’s going to feel pain, does not exist …
… or he’s a massive idiot.

Did you not try to learn more about EVE ONLINE before you started playing?

if you don’t realize you had a local/rookie/corp chat in the lower left hand corner that shows where you are leaving and entering different systems, then i can’t help you on that one.

heh, that sounds like me doing Massage Therapy. I offer to hurt people for money… which explains a few of my clients…

Solstice,
Wanna know a real quick way to be treated like an asshole?
Treat a new arrival at a BDSM club/event as a sub or bottom, before you even talk to them, and know what they are into…
and gee, silly me, trying to learn about the game and how it works is what I though the TUTORIAL was for…

You’re ignoring that anyone, who doesn’t know that BDSM is about pain while paying money for it, has only himself to blame. Anyone joining this game without knowing what’s going on really only has himself to blame. For someone not knowing he’d have to not care about looking it up at all and such a person would never get very far in this game anyway.

Btw, last time you were here,
you also always started posts with the name of the person you’re responding to.
In the exact same manner.

You’ve also been using the very exact same logic.

You’re exposing yourself.
I forgot the name, but I’m going to figure it out eventually.
