In Russian Eve Online, PVP finds YOU
Sorry, couldn’t help it.
So, we just finished a roam through low sec. All the former PVP hot spots in Placid (Vlillirier, Ostingele, Vey, Maut, Oulley) were almost empty. In between those systems we found completely empty systems … on a Sunday evening. There are lots of empty spots in low sec, especially in systems that are not on “busy” traffic lanes. Go luck for them.
you’re staying near the WH entrance, its obvious people will transit around it
when exploring regions outside of high sec one usually marks spots to hide and check for Combat Probes so as to evade being jumped on
people claim they cant find PvP because most of that is tied to the big blocs or the FW warzones, otherwise large parts of Lowsec, Null and even Wormhole space are completely devoid of activity. those that are active are usually on important strategic zones while the rest of space is unoccupied.
-i’ve made a trip to NPC null, didnt get jumped up even when running missions
-i’ve lived in low class WHs, only been jumped when the statics open near trade hubs
-i’ve lived in sov null and most of the systems are empty save for certain important alliance systems (look at regions like Cloud Ring, Insmother and the like, the amount of player occupied systems and structures usually is separated with good treks of empty systems with no infrastructure)
-i’ve been to FW Lowsec and regular Lowsec systems, if you want to PvP the warzone is the only valid option to get some proper fights, and even then you have to look on certain systems, otherwise the rest is low populated systems and mostly people doing gatecamps.
the agglomeration of player activity in only a few places means its hard to look for proper encounters and its usually against the blob/alts rather than other true solitary pilots.
all in all there’s enough empty space to develop, but no one will try because the resources required to do so will make any organization trying to settle into a gank target, not only for passerbys but by the big blocs looking for easy pickings because YOLO.
you have just been unlucky, perhaps move in a different timezone? there’s even systems in high sec with lest than 5 people. but you have to look at the statistics and everything.
I’ve seen more than a few “EvE is too empty” posts, I can’t recall seeing any other “EvE is too full” posts.
It’s you, OP. Change the way you do things.
Firstly, no, but thanks for the suggestion, I have nothing positive to post about goonswarm so I will leave it at that, I’m not hating on them just don’t care about how they carry on.
But for others I will continue to seek out places that I could have less population, definitely true it is crazy tho when I made this system my home system it was much less populated, today the population is 3 times what it was and much more problematic as roaming troublemakers just make trouble for troubles sake and while I almost never have any issues seeing them give others trouble for salt sake is tard play.
Take your **** to Elite Dangerous then.
Considering your request…no.
Isn’t it strange how all these pro unmolested PVE posts have suddenly started to show up? Very curious. Very curious indeed.
Not really if you follow enough forum posts a pattern does emerge, right now it is the era of ‘salt’ before this is was ‘harvesting’ tears, and so on, so these people go from one thing to another for them they just wait for someone to find a new way to be a nuisance to others when they find it they latch on it and play it till people catch on and then they got to find a new way to get a rise out of people.
I did this when I was a young teen but obviously grew out of it, some don’t, never will, what’s sad is you have grown men over 40 and think their cool being jerks cause this game gives them the power to ‘salt’ others and while I can overlook it from younger folks this game has a lot of geezers who should have grown out of that phase, but what can one do.
Yup, anarchy trolls lost they jobs and official policy is not “Blow the s**** up” any more.
Time has changed and better and more cultured voices have come to the front, destructive neandertals in company and playerbase are not privileged class any more, they are now just a dark past that everyone wants to forget as soon as possible…
Still very, very curious.
Why are not you still privileged? Simple, change has come.
Your attitude towards the game and many who play it is quite concerning. I worry that should players such as yourself continue to have influence it will almost certainly be the end of this game. Quite ironic considering your crusade centers on saving it. It’s a very sad situation indeed.
Nope it is end or Your Game, it is beginning of new and better Eve.
That’s a very poor attitude to have, and dare I say it very toxic indeed. I wouldn’t want to see the game end for anyone, especially if all it achieved was the end of the game itself. Quite self defeating really.
If you cannot find empty systems? Then you really must not be looking that hard. There are entire regions of high and low that are practically ghost towns. Just get off the beaten trail a little bit and it’s easy to find quiet space.
Hell your map even has all the tools you need. Just take a look at jumps in the past hour. Average pilots in space. Pilots docked up etc. And I’m sure you could find plenty of quiet system.
I shouldn’t bother, Pred doesn’t play anyway - he’s only here to poison the forums
When you try to show the truth as a poison, then you’re really in big trouble
During the last weekend and the BR event, I started mining in the field only to be kicked out by someone who wanted an entire harvest field for his multiboxing Orca fleet. Not being interested in exchanging organ sizes by repeatedly triggering pirate spawns to respawn a new belt ( I Iwas single accounting, had to move everytime he came in and spawned everything), I jumped into the next system, where I spent over 6 hours off and on mining (ugh!). During the entire time I had only 1 ship enter the different fields I spawned, a Gila piloted by someone I knew, as well as some few brief transits through the system. On a fricken weekend! There are plenty of quiet systems in EVE, even in HS.
They are really crying about anything that makes ‘pvping’ against those not wanting to pvp more difficult. They won’t ever pick a fight with anyone willing and prepared to shoot back. It’s basic school-yard bullying… pick on the smaller and the weak ones, because they are less likely to hit back.
Nullsec coalitions and lowsec gatecamping ‘pirates’ are the greatest carebears in all of Eve.
