I confess I came back to EVE when the event was less than 70 days, and I didn’t pick it up immediately; but now I’m 7/20 participation there and I’m afraid I might not make it to 20/20 in the 45 remaining days.

The participation challenges themselves aren’t that hard, that’s true, but they are way too few. Right now I have 10 challenges available and 5 o 6 of them are unfulfillable for me, either mine rocks that get instantly wiped from the locations the challenge marks, FW kills / captures when I have very little experience in PvP, etc. And even if I complete those 10, I will still not make it and be lacking a few challenges.

The new challenges also come epically too slow, like 1 new challenge every week…? If you don’t started participating in this campaign thing from it’s very beginning, its really unlikely you’ll get to the highest rank…

Is Fenris planning in adding additional time and/or new pack of challenges when the time is almost up or what is the catch here? Coz this is way more incompletable then most of other events of mission running and etc.

This is unlike EVE has been before, because outside time-limited events like this one people could always catch up even if others started earlier.

(I do not think one-time time-limited events are a good game mechanic.)

That would be unfair to anyone who sees the challenges now and realistically gives up because they started too late, only to be backstabbed by the design once more when it is extended. Yet if you continue to participate while knowing you won’t make it in the hopes that it is extended you get disappointed when it is not extended.

Is this what those numbers are that have appeared on my profile ? Like mine says ‘105’…though it doesn’t clarify 105 of what. Is that going to disappear the moment this event is over ?

I think those are just about random activities you are doing without knowing. That’s the new achievement system, that they will probably remove in a year or two, when they admit to themself it was a failure.
