All those irregularities have absolutely zero real functionality, so there is absolutely no reason why not make ships appealing to the eye … their shapes are only cosmetic sh!t…
i also cant stand Caracal, what is that extremely long nose for? if you cut the last stage of the nose it is actually not that bad.

Its completely broken. It is asymetrical bunch of cylinder and rectancle shapes, in a form of a broken wing like structure. It reminds me of the thing that someone would make in a garage, something like this, riding sideways:
