An enyo uses blasters with an optimal range of 1250 meters. They are not the fastest ship either, especially as they favor armor tanking which slows ships down.
A breached uses rockets or light missiles b and drones. Optimal range is say… 6000-9000 meters to keep in scram range but outside of many high dps close combat weapons. Additionally the preacher is shield tanked and minmitar, both if which tend to be faster ships.
Why would the Enyo want to fight such a lopsided battle? Seems like a good way to lose am expensive T2 frigate. I mean do you get mad if a knife fighter in say CoD won’t charge at you when you weild a submachine gun? Do you want to run endurance races against a dragster?
Might I suggest trying a rifter? A nice auto cannon fit with scram, prop, and web maybe or cap booster a d active tank? Auto cannons should should live and die in fall off and I bet far more people will be willing to engage you.

Couldn’t find a fight in an hour? I am impressed you didn’t stumble into at least one gate camp if you were trying in Lsec or Null. In Hsec Niarja is a classic Chokepoint where gankers hang out, plenty of -10 Sec Stat, red and yellow flashies to engage without Concord Intervention.
You could have travelled even to the +1.0 systems and flipped a can on a miner or mission runner making yourself suspect and seeing if they engaged.
As you say this is a PvP game . If you want a fight they are easy enough to find.
Give it another go, I am confident, you will find someone to engage your T1 Frig if you truly are interested in some PvP action.

I think you mean Breacher, not Breached or Preacher.
And yes the Breacher is a great little bit of scaffolding.
But the other option is a Slasher, as it is FAST, and has bonuses to disrupts, with a good AC build it can do decent DPS. But more of a “gank” ship.
But to the OP, crying about getting a fight isnt going to help you get a fight. Go to Hek and join the fight club.
Hek used to have duelers at the undock 24/7. I haven’t been there in years but why would it be any different.
What used to be awful was off-grid boosters or a RR alt waiting to warp in, but I doubt anybody would even bother with that ■■■■ anymore.

For many that green entry on Zkill makes the betrayal worth it, sadly.
I never liked kiting ships. I always warped right on top of people because the surprise normally gets get you to land one or two overheated shots in the face which is sometimes more than enough to get you to win the fight.
Fact is… You are very much the coward you call all those people when you are not willing to engage because you do not know what advantage they might have. Like you they also wonder if by accepting if they are not warping into a trap and a fleet is waiting to jump in while you hold him down. If you were serious you would not asked and just forced PVP onto them.
Join one of the newbro corps and you will get all you want. And you will even learn something in the process.
