LOL. The miners in tanked AFK Orcas are the bots - not the guys flying around hisec with -10 sec status in paper-thin gank ships. Are you all right in the head?

Are they botting as per the definition of CCP? Being AFK and assigning drones to a massive roid is not input broadcasting or botting, Even CODE calls it bot aspirant for a reason. That was a mupper answer…

Do you have any clue about input broadcasting, it sure doesn’t look like it.

Do you enjoy role playing a grumpy meter maid? Do you think CCP appreciates receiving piles of lame bot-reported petitions? It is a game. Live a little.

Reading and comprehension is obviously difficult for you, above I detailed that I am going to be absolutely 100% certain before I report anyone, if you could not work out what I meant by that then is this complex game even for you?

The implied question was: “What motivates you to report these people?”

Normally when people ask questions they get to the point rather than hide it in a veiled insult.

Above I said this:

And when the CEO of PIRAT was caught botting in Supers CCP Falcon said it very well, in a game that has so few rules, those that break those rules are beyond the pale.

A competitive game is always devalued by people who cheat to win. So while I think that PIRAT are a superb war dec alliance, their success is tarnished by the fact that it was funded by super botting to be able to crush noobs and PvE players, and they will never get away from that.

And people like the guy who cheated (IMO) earlier, he is successful because he uses input broadcasting to be able to use his massive number of accounts effectively and without making it a full on ordeal at times, he betrayed himself in his keenness to go after that Korean streamer. But he was lucky, I did not judge that I had focussed enough on that client so I was not 100% certain, more like 95%.

Does that help or do you want to throw other motives at me But I am watching him, I have activated an old account without any link to my existing and I am watching him. I will log every single time I see something suspicious and when I am certain, I will flag him. I tell him now to stop using input broadcasting, it is better that way. Is that fair.

But I have a question to you:

Does that justify him cheating?

I don’t really care if people cheat, other than some vague disapproval that I have no motivation to take action on. It is not my problem. Somebody would have to pay me an IRL salary to do what you are doing.

Just to be clear, I don’t defend cheaters, they should all get banned. But to suggest that the most reported players in this game are cheating when CCP basically breaths down their necks the whole time is just beyond stupid.

I would not presume to tell you how to feel or think in terms of botting, that is your choice.

But the way you mentioned the Orca’s was interesting in terms of your real feeling or perhaps that was just forums games. It does not matter in any case. Been amusing to have the exchange. o7

I know, it’s almost like Xeux feels that Orcas are bots.

Nope, That’s why I don’t read them anymore. …EDIT: now I have of course because you people talk about them!

How about this beauty: “all 16 in a one second tick, … I was not paying full attention to that screen when it happened.”

It’s caused by the way he posts. Over on my home fora we call it “spaghetti posting”, and one of the admins even made a post explaining why it was bad and not allowed anymore:

Stop spaghetti posting .

Spaghetti posting is simple. It’s what happens when you break someone’s post down into a wide variety of little chunks and address them one at a time; the result is a massive tangle of words. Sometimes, the poster goes as far as to break apart individual sentences into clauses or words and then quotes them individually to respond to them.

It looks something like this:

AVERT YOUR EYES

Apples are better than pears.

No they are not.

Apples are red,

but pears are green, and green is a better color

round

But the pear-shape is a better shape, of course

and crisp.

But pears can be crisp, too!

Spaghetti posting tends to beget spaghetti posting, too. When someone starts chopping up posts into spaghetti, other posters feel compelled to respond to their arguments in the same way. Unfortunately because the way the forum spaces out quote blocks, any kind of ‘readable’ spaghetti will spread arguments over an enormous sprawl of forum landscape, taking up huge amounts of vertical space.

It’s annoying for readers who aren’t interested - because they have to scroll past endless reams of space - and annoying for the people who are interested, because spaghetti arguments tend to devolve into pedantry of the highest order.

In short, it’s just not good rhetorical practice. There is a long and storied (and rhetorically effective) history of responding to monographs with monographs, rather than slicing and dicing specific words. If you need to divide your opponent’s argument into more than two or three separate issues and respond to them separately, you’re doing something badly wrong.

Please post responsibly. Don’t spaghetti and post.

So yeah, it’s definitely a thing.

He probably thinks you’re all the same kind of wankers. I used to be the same way, then I actually talked to a couple of folks in CODE. (other than you and Karak) who were courteous enough for my opinion about the alliance to become more nuanced.

:face_with_raised_eyebrow: No offense Aiko, but only Jedi Koreans have that kind of reflexes typing speed, so I’mma need pretty convincing evidence before I buy that claim.

Why do people make such assumptions.

People can act like wankers at times, most Eve forum posts are people acting like wankers. Can you see the difference, I can!

I am a Korean.
I attest even we have individual differences when it comes to typing speed.

I was invoking the meme for comedic effect. :yum:

But if that offended you, then I offer my sincere apologies. :pensive:

I am rarely offended, especially when it is done online.
What I said was just a simple comment that is besides the main point of this thread.
So, no worries i guess?

I have an unfortunate tendency to put my foot in my mouth at the most inopportune of times, so I get a little proactive when I realize I might have done it again. Glad to see that I didn’t do it this time. :relieved:

Well the code players seem to pride themselves having their tongue replaced by their feet 24/7 like the might-makes-right sadists they are.

So let me get this thread recapped.
This post was started by a redeemed former code cultist.
So vermins like aiko danuja and karak terrel came along just to insult and gloat like how they always do as if it is the only language they speak.
And naturally AG guys like dracvlad and knowledgeminer came along to join, and knowledgeminer like a pragmatist he is started another argument with dracvlad.
did i get it right so far?
