I would like to say hello and thank you to developers

…which added a modules wich can prevent to jump through jumpgate. Thank you! now pirates can block low sec roads completly, got more profit, buy new ships with such modules, block more routes… Camps with t2 BS, T2 dreadnoughts, FAXes so on. Even more profit, more pirats. Most profitable and safe activity. Other pilots now cant have most basic and main possibility – just dock on station or jump through gate in camp. No, they need to suffer and make enjoy pirates

Wise move, gentelmen

I agree. Thank you devs!

With the eradication of almost all end-game outlaw/piracy related gameplay in High Sec, it is a refreshing step for more tools for end-game piracy are added elsewhere in the universe to keep danger level high. Hopefully since DarkPiper declares it such a profitable and very safe activity, the would-be-victim pilots will be incentivized to instead join the pirates, pay them off, or otherwise interact with the residents of Low Sec.

Like OP I hope this just the beginning of many future wise moves, and that all space can be made more dangerous – unlike the ultra safe hauling of past years – so that skilled and/or charismatic haulers can differentiate themselves from the plague of anonymous neutral alt-haulers.

Yes, as i have say – wise move. Ordinary pilots, wich do not part of alliance or corporation, or just a small corporation cant do nothing. They cant haul loot and they cant bring new ships. They cant fight with such powerful foes – tens t2 BS and dreads on gate. They should leave lowsecs because developers want to change game. But for whom such thing like fraction wars for example? And other tonns of activites which have no sence now cos your routes between trade hubs are blocked?

A fun of such pilots, their type of game is nothing compares of pirate’s fun. Pirates should get everething other nothing.

BTW – how skill and/or charisma could help you then gate just BLOCKED for jump?

Its not about run through camp on hauler with help your skill and rightfull fit. It just plain and simple closed door. You cant do nothing with it, you ever dnt have a chance to warp out – even on a cloak ship besause you are too close to gate for cloak. So what? Which skill you should have to do it? pay for all pirats in region for safe pass? this is your “charisma”?

I agree! They “can’t do nothing”, which means they “can do something”. And that something is to grow and figure out how to defeat a foe who is fielding tens of people in billions of ISK worth of ships, risking getting dropped on themselves. Maybe take a longer route. Learn what gate perch bookmarks are. Or D-Scan-range perch bookmarks. Scout the other side of a gate in a corvette first before doing a blind jump. Check zKill. There’s millions of strategies other than “right click warp to gate in a slow hauler at zero”.

And I agree with you about FW – FW is full of large groups earning LP for faction dreads, you’d think the two warring groups could put their differences aside and take on the shared enemy: the pirates. Or one side could build a capable capital force to take them on.

Yep! Pay 'em all off! Look, your private dealings with pirates is your business. Mine is my business. Some people, when they turn up in a neighborhood, learn who the biggest dog on the street is and sweet talk their way into paying them off or befriending them, so that they don’t get attacked by the biggest dog. That takes a little planning and charisma. I know someone who ratted in their Thanny in Black Rise because they had made a pre-arrangement with the local pirates to not get f*cked with.

If you’re already at the gate with your pants around your ankles then you’re doing it wrong. The whole point of piracy is to plan ahead, better. That’s how you get the loot.

If you feel it unfair, then join 'em to get the safe and easy loot. Or move back to High Sec where you can return to the time-old tradition of complaining about ganking. Complaining about piracy in Low Sec is very silly.

Incredible. The big dog on the street gets more and more opportunities to become even more powerful. Without any effort. Just stay at the closed gate and grab the flow of resources. This is now the most profitable activity in the game, and the developers are making it more unbalanced every time.

It’s just ridiculous to listen to these arguments about something like “you must get together and fight.” Factional wars are just for those who prefer solo activity. Why are their preferences so unimportant compared to the unrelenting desire of the developers to give more and more opportunities to those who stick out 24/7 at the gate in more and more powerful ships and ever larger fleets? Why is their fun more important than the fun of others, who must entertain the former at their own expense?

Dude if you do not like Eve Online, don’t play it. Find a game you do enjoy.

I could bother to address your hyperbolic questions but experience on the forums here shows people don’t actually consider it, they just want to rant.

As a piece of advice: some of the stuff you are saying is going to elicit ridicule from others here.

i never been pirate and will not be. its not for me, i jsut I despise this. I don’t understand why I have to change my play style, why do developers give more and more opportunities for pirates to influence the game? is it such a large group or do they think that we, those who, for example, participate in factional wars and engage in pvp, constantly lack fun? Well, that is why the pirates and their fun is declared the main ones?

Absolutely incredible. Pirates get one new tool in 9 years worth of changes and nerfs to their gameplay, and because of it the sky is falling.

If you don’t understand this, then you don’t really understand Eve Online.

So you cant explain why one group of players more important that others. Just “beacuse”, ok.

Pirats shouldnt change anything in their play style, in their game, in thier Eve. Other should.

I can.

They can blow you up, and you can’t blow them up.

They’re powerful, and you’re powerless.

That’s how it works in High Sec. That’s how it works in Low Sec. That’s how it works in Null Sec. That’s how it works in J-Space.

Either navigate the power structures or adjust your gameplay. Or whine on the forums.

I’m done with this thread. I’m not sure you’ll find a person nicer than me here.

No. I could just avoid them, and now it’s harder to do so. why are they given more and more opportunities to influence my game? Why should I change, they never? Why is piracy made the most profitable and safest activity in the game?

Removed the ability to put several warpstab on the ship. Introduced the ability to place the station right at the gate - so that it would be more convenient to camp them, repair them, collect loot, and so on. Now it is possible to block the gates altogether and cut not only when passing the camp, but also when warping to 0 gates.

Why is everything moving in this direction?

I must have missed that memo… just exactly what is this tool?

The Lancer.

Isn’t that the new T2 Dread ship?

Yes, and the Lancer module itself.

Ahh, thanks for replying.

That equipment is available for everybody who’s skilled for it…

So I’ll have to buy those SB’s now…

That’s definitely true. I assume the only reason the OP hasn’t been met with more deserved ridicule is he caught some of the usual posters asleep. As for @DarkPiper, all the competent JF pilots I work with have already figured out how to deal with this, and every other kind of freighter pilot that’s going to get caught by a lancer would have gotten caught by any gate camp anyway. As usual, those that think and work will make more isk off the backs of those that complain.
