If curiosity isn’t allowed, there’s not much reason to keep asking questions

This is precisely why CONCORD declines to take action against gankers. It is well known that miners engage in illegal mining, and gankers are encouraged to take proactive measures against the mining menace.

Eventually they will learn the only involvement CONCORD has with ganking is through their Hazardous Materials and Containment division. Gankers are not ‘punished’ by CONCORD. We simply have an a contractual obligation with CONCORD that our ships, once covered in 'miner’ are no longer safe for for boarding due to contamination of veldspar dust, and must be destroyed.

Lore Dump; Concord is manned by normal human beings, not capsuleers. Infact, the vast majority of every empire, and pirate faction, are normal human beings.

Capsuleers have the ability to instant lock, with a bit of effort and at the cost of a lot of other utility. Thats with our characters directly controlling every system with their minds. non-capsuleers do not have that ability.

Like real life, the police are not an indestructible, omnipotent shield. You can still get killed while walking down the street, easily. Why would it be any different in a video game designed to be the wild west?

@Gasephed_Sinak You’re overthinking this by treating a game mechanic like a failed civilization model. EVE Online isn’t simulating perfect law enforcement—it’s creating predictable risk. CONCORD isn’t there to prevent crime, it’s there to punish it with certainty, which is what enables meaningful player choice.

If enforcement were proactive or adaptive like you suggest, highsec PvP would effectively disappear, and with it a huge part of the economy and player interaction. The “15-minute window” isn’t a flaw—it’s deliberate design so both attackers and defenders can plan around risk.
In-universe justification is secondary. Gameplay balance comes first.

Your ship has a built in phone to call the cops when illegally attacked.

Only affects the Alpha clones, so is presumably a mechanic of reigning in those (IIRC they were created as party of their empire’s navy as opposed to independently ascending).

I think you’re hallucinating that one unless I missed a patch.

Relies on automated reports from other ships/structures.

There, totally lore-consistent with game mechanics now.

because being proactive earn you a concord spank

Pot, meet kettle.

Since you want to use your brain so much, I suggest you make your own space game and decide yourself what mechanics to put in it.
Meanwhile, EVE belongs to CCP, not you.

If CONCORD can’t even spell their own name correct, what are the odds they will arrive on time to save anybody?

Lol, Huh?

Was that the best you could do?

From a lore perspective, Concord are corrupt. EVE is a dystopian future, not some utopian Star Trek paradise. Concord can be bribed, to remove negative security status, for example.

No entity is more mindlessly violent than Concord. They have almost certainly killed more baseline crew members than any other corporation that has ever existed in New Eden.

I’m the biggest ganker out there, I mean super duper. They’re even afraid of me in other games.

You keep saying that like it’s going to get rid of ganking for you.

I have news for you: we’re in 2026.
