I'm a Space Hobo

There is “grind” and there is “play”. I think we can all agree on the differences. If you consider playing the game “grind” then don’t play at all.
Getting skill by doing is better and makes more sense than buying them.

That is not what I said. To me, your proposal sounds like a grind, as opposed to spensing a small amount of isk to just buy the skill.

“Solve your own difficulties” to me means that I find things difficult and need to find ways to solve those difficulties. Unless we’re not talking the same language.

Cutting down a tree with a chainsaw is easy yet if I don’t do it I’m lazy?
Lots of things are easy to do, does that mean I’m supposed to do them otherwise I’m lazy?

I don’t find the minimum effort difficult, unless you’re suggesting I’m a total moron - which wouldn’t surprise me coming from you.

What is so difficult to understand that gaining skills by doing is much more immersive and smart than buying skills in the Skill Store?

It may sound like a grind but isn’t. Playing the game doesn’t necessarily mean grinding.

A small amount of isk is like 100isk or a 1000isk, not a million! Some of those skills cost millions! That’s ridiculous! I’m only a Capsuleer, I’m not Elon Musk!

You can earn a million isk in a very small amount of time. Do some basic research on how to make isk.

Well, you do have a spaceship

So this game is all about making isk. How boring!

This game is about spending your time and/or money just to be able to fly a pixelated ship.

I think you’ll like Elite Dangerous/Odyssey more than this one.

Is even getting the couple of thousand ISK for newbie skills too challenging for new players?

What is happening to EVE…

Do career agent missions, mine some ore or explore a few sites to make the ISK, it’s not much at all and gives you something easy to strive for as newbie. Or join a newbie-friendly corporation that gives you the skillbooks for free. Or beg for them in Jita local. You have so many ingame options and you instead choose to complain on the forums that it is too challenging for you?

How will you be able to survive the rest of EVE if you cannot even manage to buy skillbooks?

I did look at it in Steam. It looks cool.
Plus it’s a one-time fee, not 20€ every month. That’s the price of my water bill. Except I can take a shower with that water. What can I do with EVE?

You can lose  Lose your isk, lose your ship, lose your time… it’s exciting to lose  Everybody likes losing stuff in a paid game. :upside_down_face:

While the act of losing may not be fun, winning or ‘not losing’ is a lot less meaningful when losing cannot happen.

No one talked about “too challenging” in this thread except the trolls.

Again: Paying for Skills is ridiculous.
It’s much better to earn them by playing the game.

You earn ISK playing the game. That’s how you earn anything in this game.

What do you think ISK is for, if not a currency to earn that you can spend on things you need?

This forum is chock-full of trolls. They’ll distort your argument so that they can attack you on strawmen.

It’s very easy to understand your point.
They just don’t want to. They prefer to harass you with things you never said so that they can insult you later.

Yeah I dont think youve ever done that if you think thats the case.

How is not learning a skill from a book not immersive?

You really dont have anything real to say.

Stop being a lazy sock puppet and troll properly or not at all.

Its readily apparent this thread is a rant at best and two sock puppets agreeing with each other at worse.

I think you need to read my posts, you’d understand what I’m talking about because right now you have no idea or you’re purposely not understanding it.

Purposely not understanding it is how they troll you so that they call you all sorts of names like “lazy” and so on…

Okay. Lazy again. I guess you refuse to understand my point.
I’m not even demanding you agree, just understand it, but even that is beyond your capabilities.
