Improving the PVP and PVE aspects of the game

  1. Create so-called Inversion Ships, ships with inverted resistances, for example, the Arbitrator (Shields 0-20-40-50, Armor 50-35-25-20). Its inversion version will have the following protection: Shields 50-40-20-0, Armor 20-25-35-50. Do this for all T1 and T2 ship types except Frigates, Destroyers, capital ships. This will make PVP unique, but these ships should still appear on the scan as before. This will make PVP more diverse and interesting. Plus, new ships will be available on the market at no extra cost. Mutaplasmid is also an option for this, but in my opinion, a different approach is preferable.
  2. Create a Mutaplasmid that will randomly distribute ships’ armor and shield resistances. Each ship should have its own Mutaplasmid type. For example, Arbitrator Shields 0-20-40-50 Total = 110. After mutation, the parameter should not exceed the maximum value of 50, but can be distributed, for example, as 0-10-50-50, but not higher than the maximum value of the largest parameter. For T1 ships, and the same for T2 ships. For example, Curse Shields 0-20-63-81. After applying the mutaplasmid, the maximum parameter should not exceed 81, i.e. 0-2-81-81 or 81-81-2-0 or 41-41-42-40. This is just an example. Again, do this for all ships except frigates, destroyers, capital ships. This will simply make PVP and PVE disastrously diverse and unpredictable.
I’ll answer the question right away why not frigates and destroyers? SSP reboosted these types of ships. A mosquito can’t kill an elephant. But the problem is that the majority of players who play and fly these ships will never try to upgrade more advanced and powerful ships in the game—they simply don’t have any reason to. These people won’t participate in PVP battles; their goal is simply to reduce ECC or kill a few crab ships. They won’t contribute money to the game, but they will harass players who pay real money for the game. Some large alliances have already learned this when they had to defend their stations, while their so-called PVP pilots simply flew wherever they wanted, not caring about anyone, not about claiming their corpmates. And rightly so, they have no reason to, but that’s another story.
  3. And now about capital ships, frigates, and destroyers. In any MMO RPG, we always try to farm for higher levels and better equipment, and we know full well that any newbie, or even a group of 20-50, can’t do anything to us, and that’s right; it forces people to level up and invest time and money in the game, because they feel stronger and more powerful. But in EVE, everyone tries to make sure that Frigates and Destroyers can easily kill 10 or 20 Carriers or Dreadnoughts. This is, excuse me, nonsense; they basically shouldn’t be able to harm them at all. It’s not even a mosquito versus an elephant, but a mosquito versus a Tyrannosaurus—oh, excuse me, 20 mosquitoes. I’ve flown with such fleets; these people couldn’t care less about anyone; they just want to log in for an hour or two and have fun, so to speak. SSP needs to develop the game towards larger ships, so that players want to get them, fight with them, and crab with them. They strive for Titans and Masers, but now they have jacked up the prices for both Titans and Masers so much that no player even considers buying a Titan or Maser; they don’t see the point in it, and in theory, the point should be in striving for the best, for the stronger.

All ships except for all ships? So do this for no ships?

Capital and sub-capital covers all ships in the game.

So no ships are having this done?

I’m talking about these ships: carriers, dreadnoughts, Masers, and Titans.

A sub cap is any ship that is not a capital. A capital ship is all of the XL - Dreads, Carriers, and Titans.

Sub caps are Frigates, destroyers, cruisers, battlecruisers, and battleships. (as well as all mining barges, exhumers, porpoises, and orcas). Basically anything smaller than a dreadnought.

What’s a maser? You smell of AI slop.

Instead of discussing the idea itself or suggesting something better, I see here that they are only clinging to what is written. If you don’t know what Mather is, then I have no reason to talk to you.

I think there’s a translation issue here, because I too have never heard of a Maser or Mather in EVE.

Do you mean supercarrier (also known as mothership)? I’m not going to play 20 questions to debug your bad idea.

If you want different resists, fit modules for that. Usually people just try to ensure they have balanced resists across the board so that it doesn’t matter what damage type the enemy is firing.

EvE is not a traditional MMO in the sense of gear grinding. It’s an intentional design choice that your titan is not a roflsolopwnmobile. Bring friends who are better at killing smaller stuff.
