In-station narration is slowly turning into brainwashing

Where should the amarr know latin from? This language is dead 2000 years even today…and we are talking about 20000 years after the eve gate collapsed and the colonies collapsed too… Doubtful that anybody knows what ‘latin’ even is

The popes.

After 20000 years? Doubtful. Amarr has its own religion that has nothing to do with popes

Somehow, Latin returned.

Nope

Why not? Christianity is alive for over 2000 years so why wouldn’t the line of popes go on for another 19000yrs?

So tell me… what is ‘alive’ today that was ‘big’ 19000 years ago? See the problem? :stuck_out_tongue:

There is no such problem in sci-fi :stuck_out_tongue:

Maybe…but still…doubtful…

Not doubtful enough for me. In fact it’s very likely because sci-fi allows it.

With stating this argument you can allow everything even that it does NOT happen :stuck_out_tongue:

Exactly

Mining ! Then they were happy to find some silex (flint), tie it to a stick and go to war for their private dies irae. True story. And “silex” is a Latin word too. One never runs out of surprises.

Here’s another one: ecclesiastical Latin is still a thing. Not so exceptional to imagine it to be brought with the colonizers.

Considering most of our ships are named after mythical gods and other beings from antiquity, don’t see why Latin wouldn’t still be a thing.

Hell, even Wal-Mart and Amazon survived after 20,000 years and combined to form Jita 4-4.

I can only say…
I love EVE’s PA

Specially the near-structures with the spanish talking guy on the PA:
“… llame al teléfono 560…(grabble) soplascalavisco Chita Martínez…”

As for in stations and such… I’m too busy spinning the thing.
